The Research Officer in Bioinformatics will be instrumental in propelling our research projects forward through expert analysis of single-cell and spatial omics data, along with image analysis and the integration of diverse multi-omics datasets. This role offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of leading immunologists, oncologists, pathologists, and AI scientists. The candidate will contribute to pioneering research involving a broad spectrum of data types, from mouse and human to cancer and various disease datasets, leveraging their bioinformatics expertise to drive innovations in disease understanding and treatment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the analysis of single-cell and spatial omics datasets to uncover cellular heterogeneity, spatial organization, and gene expression patterns in diverse biological contexts.
2. Conduct advanced image analysis to extract quantitative data from biological imagery, employing cutting-edge computational techniques.
3. Develop and implement integrative multi-omics analysis pipelines to synthesize information across various data types (genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, etc.), facilitating a holistic understanding of biological systems and disease mechanisms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in omics data analysis.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python, and in the use of bioinformatics tools and databases.
• Demonstrated expertise in statistical data analysis and machine learning applications.

Overview

The Role

The Research Fellow will be responsible for undertaking in-depth research and innovation in machine learning, data science, and artificial intelligence on trusted collaborative machine learning that lead to publications in top-tier international conferences and journals, as well as real-world implementations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new concepts and algorithms in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence for trusted collaborative machine learning;

1. To take and carry out instructions from the C&S Resident Engineer (RE) and represent the RE on site according to the requirements and needs of each Project.

General Ledger

• Assist the Finance team with the year-end closing activities and external audit
• Prepare reports as requested by the management
• Perform reconciliation of bank statements and balance sheet schedules
• Data entry of transactions into account system
• Prepare journal records for revenue, bank charges, adjustments, etc.
• Assist in prepare monthly and quarterly GST report

Receivables – Donation

• Donations receipts (via cheque, credit card, online) and accounting in Workday and issuance of Tax-Deductible Receipts
• Update Donation Management System
• Conduct surprise cash count for donations
• Assist GL Team in GST reporting for Sponsorships-in-kind and e-collections report
• Prepare Annual Statistic Report, assist collating data from institution on e-collection statistic
• Prepare bank reconciliations, balance sheet account reconciliations, and follow up on reconciliation items

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma / equivalent qualification in accounting
• Knowledge in accountancy with at least 2 years of relevant working experience is preferred
• Good knowledge and experience in handling matters relating to Donation will be an advantage
