Your Role

We are looking for an Account Assistant to perform full spectrum of accounting functions.

What Will You Do

• To perform full spectrum of accounting functions (AP, AR, GL) for a few entities.
• To perform bank reconciliation and inter-company accounts.
• To ensure accounting operations are carried out according to the internal accounting procedures.
• To monitor AR ageing report and follow up with the payment collection.
• To handle fixed asset transactions.
• To perform filing, updating loan records and online payment.
• To perform daily update of instalment payments.
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.

What Do We Want

• At least LCCI Higher Accounting, Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in keeping full set of accounts.
• Have experience in hire purchase.
• Able to work independently.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Vice President of Hotels and support the Hotels Division in leadership and strategic direction to drive performance in Front Office, Transport and Limousine Service
• Inspire a team of professionals toward a common goal which emphasizes exceptional customer service and seamless customer experience
• Responsible for financial performance to meet/exceed budget targets for the various Business Units within the Hotel Division
• Implement relevant technologies and best practices that will enable the Hotels Division to continually transform and drive efficiencies in labor and material, while focusing efforts on creating memorable guest experiences
• Improve SOPs to drive efficiencies and ensure alignment with developments
• Create an exciting and rewarding work culture to attract, develop, and retain the right talent, including the implementation of learning and development programs to build a culture of continuous improvement, personal development and career progression
• Analyze the organization's key competitors and current trends to make recommendations to develop the hotel’s business base
• Identify opportunities and challenges/issues through data analytics and propose solutions to improve marketing strategies, optimize revenue and productivity
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to manage project governance, oversee development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to quality management policies
• Responsible for all aspects of quality service procedures, SOP and/or benchmarking to international standards.

Requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or related field
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in senior hotel management position in an established integrated resort or 5-star hotel with proven operations track record of simultaneously managing multiple hotels
• Preferably have a strong background in sales and marketing and revenue management
• Proven track record of driving change, results and 5-star service quality standards
• Demonstrate strong leadership and people management skill with the ability to lead through influence and ability to work in a fast-paced and diverse environment

Responsibilities

• Planning, recommending and customizing itineraries including booking hotels, flights, ground transportation

• Adheres to company standards in delivering customer service including professional telephone etiquette

• Handling all reservations requests/enquiries via emails and other online/offline channels

• Prepares and maintains reports for sales forecasting

• Ensure travel documents and invoices are processed accurately

• To coordinate and liaise with relevant departments internally such as Operations

• Ensure overall Customer satisfaction

• Assist with the invoicing and data entry

• Update petty cash book

• Handling drivers’ claims matter

• Simple filling and sorting out documentation

• To perform documentation work (from receiving, distribution, filling to archiving and disposing of documents)

• Ad hoc duties given by superior

Requirements

• Candidate should possess Diploma/Professional qualifications in the travel industry

• Possess at least 2 years of experience in the Travel Industry

• Prior experience with corporate sales and marketing will be advantage

• Good knowledge of tour products and tour leading

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and contribute to all areas

• Ability to handle stress and work in fast paced environment & extended hours

• Keen interest in local and international travel trends

• Excellent communication in English, Malay, and Mandarin

What you will be doing:

Management

- Manage the global pre-sales teams

- Serve as a coach and mentor to the group, cross hiring, training, retention, and skills development programs.

- Provide effective communication to internal stakeholders and other Company's business units as appropriate and necessary.

Strategy

- Align with the whole management team, involved deeply in strategy design, market analysis, tech trend study, to come up with aggressive but realistic product roadmaps.

- Lead primarily the GTM strategy's design and execution in EMEA, based on persuasive analysis of gaps between technology capacities and market requirements.

Solution & Pre-sales

- Lead the pre-sales team to provide technical pre-sales support to sales teams.

- Align with Product Solution team, R&D team, Service capabilities and delivery team, aiming to achieve value-based sales perfectly.

- Responsible to drive engineering proposals/SOWs to C-level executives/Board of Directors at named accounts, and or other major deals.

- Drive highest customer satisfaction in service delivery by effectively coordinating /leveraging cross functional teams like Solution teams, Project Managers, Data Architects, R&D teams.

- Implement and monitor key service delivery metrics to promote customer satisfaction throughout delivery cycle.

Qualifications

- A combination of broad technical vision, sharp business acumen and abundance of technical solution experience.

- Must have directly managed a Solution and/or Pre-sales team for a minimum of 5 years in IT industry experience at regional level.

- Abundance of experience in providing tech consulting, solutions, system integration, and/or delivering complex tech initiatives for large business accounts, in either technology firms or traditional industries.

- Deep understanding and experiences of machine learning and/or Cloud computing is a plus.

- Experience in both start-up and established technology companies is preferred.

- Must have excellent written presentation/proposal skills in front of large and high-profile audiences.

- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects across multiple organizations.

- Ability to work very independently and maintain composure and focus under extremely stressful customer impacting situations

- Excellent organizational and management skills, as well as, natural leadership instincts and empowerment skills are must.

- Must possess a proven track record of building and managing teams over multiple locations.

• Collaborate with Financial Managers and other team members to successfully execute various accounting tasks.
• Maintain company ledgers and daily financial transactions.
• Create financial documents such as bills, invoices, pay-orders, payables, receivables and purchase orders.
• Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source and correcting them.

Job Description

• In charge of Accounts Team staff of 6, responsible for task allocation and resource planning to ensure smooth operation of the team;
• Take overall charge periodical local MAS regulatory reports, eg. review MAS649, MAS610 etc, surveys required by MAS and Statistical Board, together with queries and additional information requested from regulators with accuracy;
• Take overall charge management reports and HO reports, ad-hoc reports as requested;
• Review of daily monitoring of MAS compliance ratios, MCB, AMR, MLA etc with accuracy;
• Take charge of maintenance of regulatory reporting database and regulatory data mapping and recurring/ad hoc adjustment;
• In charge of regulatory or financial change impact analysis and simulation or changes in business activities, raise system change request if required, and perform UAT to ensure MAS requirement is adhered to;
• Take charge of change management projects or ad hoc topics in organization, systems, accounting changes or continuous improvements e.g. streamlining, automation etc.;
• Review periodical and adhoc financial reports for internal control and Management;
• Annual local statutory reporting financial statement and disclosure items;
• Support information requirements form external auditors on statutory audits;
• Take charge of general accounting control by developing good knowledge in ledger accounting, accounting path setting, daily reconciliation between GL and transaction details data;
• Take care of daily accounting functions;
• Take charge of projects, e.g. System enhancement, GST ACAP project, annual budgetary process;
• Proper documentation for audit trails and update of SOPs, and ensure proper and balanced control mindset to operate effectively within Accounts team
• In charge of tax related matters, e.g. income tax, GST etc.;
• Other adhoc assignment as required

Job Qualification

• Minimum a Degree qualification in Accounts or related field
• At least 5-6 years of working experience in the Banking industry
• Experience in enhancement/UATs/Projects is a plus
• Able to work independently
• Team player
• Accurate and prompt submission of reports
• Ability to work under pressure of meeting deadlines
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Bilingual in English and Chinese
