The Job:

A General Manager (Sales) to join our Asia Pacific team.

You will be responsible for managing the Asia Pacific sales team (excluding China) to focus on revenue growth.

The candidate should be a self-motivated and growth-orientated professional with good connections and knowledge of the PCBA Electronics industry. You should have worked in sales of materials or equipment for the Surface Mount Technology in the region. Good contact base of decision-makers in the electronics industry in the region would be a plus point.

You will have the task to drive the Asia team (direct & agents) to identify, pursue, and negotiate deals with existing and potential clients.

As General Manager (Sales), you will manage all elements of the sales cycle, strategy implementation and customer relationship management to continue to grow the business and meet performance targets.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and guiding the sales team to achieve business growth and target. Cultivate new sales channels, evaluate needs, establish mutually agreeable terms, negotiate contracts, and manage the sales network.
• Manage and develop relationships with key accounts throughout the whole lifecycle of sales & customer support, account vetting, quotations reviews, financial management such payment terms, credit limits, service support rates.
• Identify market trends in the industry and understand client business goals to determine ideal solutions and products.
• Work collaboratively with an international team of Sales offices worldwide with aim to drive revenue growth via existing and new customers.

Experience & knowledge:

• Must have proven experience of 5-8 years in PBCA manufacturing equipment area or related electronics manufacturing automation equipment field.
• Strong knowledge of surface mount technology, semicon and automation equipment ecosystems.
• Knowledge of cultural & market diversity in the Asia region, industry trends and innovation in manufacturing technology.
• At least 8-10 years’ direct experience in sales management of capital equipment in PCBA industry to OEMs and EMS with relationships with key decision makers an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact with clients, management, and peers.
• Candidates without the above experiences pre-requisites will be rejected.

Skills and Qualifications:

• A good degree in electronic/electrical/mechanical engineering and an MBA or business qualification a plus point.
• Financial knowledge to analysis monthly company accounts reports.
• Able to manage contracts.
• Experience in handling import & export documents and Letters of Credit a plus point.
• Hands-on sales and business development experience from prospecting through to closing deals would be an advantage.
• Build and manage pipeline of independent sales channels from other internal sales efforts within the organization.
• Must be analytical, good problems solving skill, articulate solutions, analyze and report data collected.
• High level of initiative, motivated and self-driven.
• Customer-focused – with excellent communication, customer support and negotiation skills.
• Good leadership skill to motivate & lead the team.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• First point of contact for customers, carriers, suppliers and other supply chain stakeholders during day-to-day business
• Handle customer’s orders including related documentation, and transport booking with carriers according to specified routing and service level
• Monitor transport execution to ensure adherence of all supply chain stakeholders to established work standards and work instructions
• Handling of customer requests and supply chain incidents / disruptions
• Follow up on missing events and investigate data inconsistencies
• Provide input to Supervisors in the preparation of reporting, monthly reviews and quarterly business reviews
• Support analysis of standard KPIs and reports and identify / suggest areas for improvement
• Support the on-boarding of new suppliers to ensure successful origin global order, event and SOP compliance
• Act in accordance with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and job specific procedures
• Support implementation of changes to processes or policies as determined by the process owners

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Equivalent of a Diploma in Logistics, Transportation or Supply Chain Management, related field or comparable work experience
• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• General understanding of Supply Chain Management concepts and logistics processes
• Fluency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken) mandatory. The role requires someone who is able to communicate in Chinese to work with customer

· Liaise with Carrier / Co-loader for import shipment arrival & export shipment booking

· Liaise with Internal & External Customers for shipments arrangement

· Handle import & export custom permit

· Liaise with Transporter for import & export cargo handling

· Procure rates with Carrier / Co-loader

· Check origin/destination rate with overseas agent

· Support Sales for quotation

· Any ad-hoc matter assigned by superior

Responsibilities:

Manage Daily Operations:

• To ensure timely and accurate order processing, facilitate communications within the organization and customer on orders related matters, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with policies.
• Systematic handling of orders from inception to completion, including order creation, processing, fulfillment, delivery and liaise with finance to meet invoicing requirements.
• Build and maintain close working relationship with customers to enhance customer satisfaction.

Management of Equipment Orders:

• Handle customer PO /CAF receive from sales team, check and verify the details of the order.
• If anything in the PO/CAF is not in order, work with the sales team/ customer to rectify, amend and or request for revised PO/CAF, etc.
• Execute order within the company's guideline and obtain the required approvals.
• Upon receiving the required approvals in accordance with company’s guideline, process the order in the system.
• If PO requires compliance requirements, for example requires export license, end user statement, import license, etc, work with sales team/ customer and compliance team to obtain the required documents and approvals.
• Regularly maintain and update booking in the global booking report, order backlog and book and ship report.
• Once the order is processed, update the factories of the intercompany PO/SO that had been generated and work with factory to provide the ship date.
• Send Sales Order Acknowledgement and or Proforma Invoice for advance payment or/ issuance of LC to customer.
• Work closely with factory on the order status and update customer.
• Regular team meetings with factories on order fulfillment, management of order related issues, etc.
• For LC orders, work with customer and factory on the LC requirements.
• Regularly monitor backlog orders to ensure everything is in place when due for shipping, e.g. advance payment is received, valid LC is in place, freight forwarder information for FCA shipment is available.
• Work with customer and logistics team of the respective factories to arrange the shipment and the requried shipping documents.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/ Degree or comparable experience.
• Commercial background and professional experience.
• 2-3 years similar work tasks with industrial products.
• Experience with MS Office.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced working environment.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.
• Resourceful with problem solving skills as need to work independently with minimal supervision.

As a sales support administrator, you will:

1. Assist to list in SKUs, follow up on sales requests and action items.

2. Attend customer meetings ( in house or on site ) , take minutes and ensure follow up of action items.

3. Assist in Accounts Receivables , ageing debts follow up.

4. Assist the Accounts team in support duties.

5. General admin office support duties and as and when tasked by management.

6. Assist to manage marketing activities and programs.

• Candidate who possess experience in sales for Carrier Owned Container / Shipper Owned Carrier services will be advantageous.
• Must have experience managing partners across the APAC region.
• Capable of managing existing accounts while also expanding into new markets.
• Willing to travel frequently within Southeast Asia for 3 to 4 days at a time.

• Should focus on building a strong client network and maintaining key customer relationships within the organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering or related field.
• 2 to 3 years of sales experience in the maritime industry is essential.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively internally and externally are necessary.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software is highly desirable.
• A proven track record of meeting deadlines through initiative and a proactive approach is required.

Job Details:

• Salary: $4,000 base + bonus
• Training Period: First 2 months at half pay, full pay after obtaining RNF certification
• Training will be conducted online or at the Scotts Road office
• After 2 months, will be assigned to an agent and provided access to a hot desk

Requirements:

• Must pass at least 4 CFMAS papers within 2 months, with an additional 4 to be completed while working
