Requirements:

We are looking to further strengthen our Program Management team by hiring a Senior Program Manager (PM)to lead internal project teams. You will be responsible to ensure flawless and smooth execution of the contracted programs according to defined timelines and cost, via leading multidisciplinary project teams. In this role, the Program Manager is the key interface between Sales and Operations organizations and the customer. Program Manager is responsible to manage multiple projects, either within one technology, or within multiple technologies and oversees the complete life-cycle of all the projects.

Based on experience, programs under PM’s responsibility range from small or mid-sized to large and complex portfolios, based on the seniority. During execution, key focus is on the customer centricity and internally on quality, cost, profitability, timelines and risk management.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead project execution after deal closure. Direct, lead and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams and hold team members accountable to deliver results within an agreed project governance structure to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the life of the program. Shared customer relationship management with Account Managers.
• Coach, mentor and, via frequent discussions with line managers, continuously develop project team members.
• Program Manager utilize in-depth understanding of multiple functions and strong relationships with these functions during the execution.
• Act as single point of contact for customer with regards to operational questions and ensure each project milestone is delivered in line with the agreed objectives. Act as the customer advocate and champion in the Lonza’s Singapore Project Management organization.
• Manage project scope, timelines and budget and program profitability together with core project team. Raise and prepare scope changes and communicate them to a customer in close collaboration with Account Manager. In collaboration with Account Management / Commercial Development, create mid-long term program strategies.
• Define, organize and be responsible for all customer communication (using an open communication model), agreeing milestones and conducting “lessons learned” with the customer, as well as executing decommissioning at the end of contractual activities.
• Program Manager ensures the right and effective internal and external governance are in place and are effective. Also ensures very clear alignment of internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to the local Sales & Operations meeting, by best in class forecasting and demand planning for the given programs.

Key requirements:

· Degree in Life Sciences related discipline with commercial acumen or experience in project planning; PMP Certification highly desired.

· Experience working in FDA regulated biotech/pharma industry with proven experience in a project management capacity.

· Relevant business and customer interaction experience in a CDMO highly preferred, but not essential.

· Knowledge base of clinical research strongly preferred, with experience of moving pharmaceutical products from clinical into commercial manufacturing environments an advantage.

· Statistical techniques and failure analysis, validation concepts.

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills to be applied at high level.

About the Team

The Contract Logistics Engineering & Automation team is responsible for diagnosis and reengineering process to work out the improvements and with innovations/automations application as necessary on Contract Logistics operations for our customers in APAC and all over the world. One of major aspects is the application of updated process through engineering and innovative technologies including but not limited to automation and robotization in both new business opportunities and existing operations.

Responsibilities

Lead Engineering & Automation projects of assigned markets to support business improvements and renewals:

• Provide leadership to Qualify, Resource and Oversee the Engineering and Automation design process of all warehousing projects in assigned team within Asia Pacific Region which includes the planning, risk assessment, data analysis, material flow, determination of optimal solution concept, detailed solution design, manage automation vendor quotation and investment analysis.
• Ownership of the Standard Work Framework for Engineering & Automation APAC, to ensure efficient engineering & automation simulation processes and aligned to the key steps and milestones represented in CLDM. Guide the EA team resources to ensure awareness and compliance.
• Be the Engineering & Automation SME for matters in relation to any focused solutioning of product(s) or relevant EA tools. Constantly diagnose process and analyze engineered improvements for warehousing activities including but not limited to inbound, storage, outbound and VAS as an end-to-end process within 4 walls operations.
• Work collaboratively with the Engineering & Automation community to ensure the templates and offerings are correctly deployed to maximize the business success through these products and specific verticals
• Promote, leverage and facilitate the replications of best engineering & automation practices across EA Network

Engineering and Automation for Continuous Improvements of the assigned customer account:

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand the requirements, communicate data requirements and methodology.
• Analyze detailed data to provide processes and workflows determination, position responsibilities and system flows in conjunction with physical material flows, identify tactical recommendations
• Analyze contractual commitments, specifications, performance and other data to plan and develop logistics activities by using knowledge of industrial and/or process engineering, automation, ergonomics, business practices & requirements
• Review the current layout and perform warehouse redesign as needed taking into consideration of net impact
• Conduct time studies and workflow movement measurement analysis to determine the current productivity and cycle times, and hence review the usage of appropriate MHE in relation to product specification, operations requirement and layout where necessary
• Validate and identify appropriate storage types and methodologies, both in manual and automated solutions, including applications of appropriate Automation and technologies for processes and/storage to increase productivity and/or capacity when applicable
• Diagnose and define potential improvement opportunities and setting the productivity standards for the operations for ramp-up/ramp down scenario.
• Clearly present and demonstrate the impact of designed processes to warehouse design, technologies required, service to customer and all stakeholders.
• Drive project deliverables, presentation of results and recommendations to stakeholders
• Produce cost efficient solution and supply pertinent information to support ROI/MIRR during Investment Application and approval facilitation.
• Provide support our sites and operations with automation experiences sharing/coaching during specification, implementation and testing phases
• Define specifications and act as a counterpart to our global and regional supplier partners for automation
• Engineering:Responsible for managing and developing solution reengineering for existing customers including nominated projects/tasks from operations and contract renewals via scheduling plan
• Renewals: Trigger and engage the review of existing operations proactively to lead process and/or storage reengineering/improvements of Contract Renewals. Deploy detailed Engineering project when necessary.
• Automation: Assess the feasibility of utilizing and expanding the use of Automation, Robotics, and Technologies on applicable process or setup to improve productivity on the operations activities, but not limited to Inbound, Putaway, Picking, Packing, Outbound and VAS. Work on the projects screening and apply strategic imperatives to drive innovation & automation in key operations. Assess the feasibility of applying automation / robotization in customer projects (new and existing businesses)
• New Business: Support in new business/growth opportunities requiring Automation via technology check

Coaching & Training:

• Support to develop and conduct training programs and provide coaching in areas of industrial engineering and automation to in-country junior resource as required based on participants’ training/coaching needs
• As a member of APAC Engineering & Automation Leadership, support on the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of standardized methodologies, tools and templates
• Act as Engineering & Automation focal point for the assigned customer account
• Ensure self and team members have an Individual Development Plan (IDP) identifying personal development and alignment to business need
• Conduct regular communication to ensure team members understand the company’s objectives and goals
• Periodical evaluation of team members’ performance based on their personal growth targets

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors’ degree, in Industrial Engineering / Logistics Engineering / Automation & Mechatronics Engineering
• Postgraduate degree is an advantage

Related Experience

• Experience in modern warehouse and distribution, supply chain design (automation and other modern warehousing innovation (robotics, digitalisation) is preferred
• Minimum 8 years’ professional experience in Logistics, warehousing or 3PL industries, preferably in an international logistics service environment
• 8+ years of relevant working experience of solution design/automation/process engineering in the logistics and supply chain industry; knowledge in 3PL is a plus
• Experience in VSM and/or Six Sigma is a plus

Technical Skills

• Solid analytical skills with good commercial and technical understanding of Contract Logistics and Warehousing.
• Excellent knowledge and/or extensive experience of logistics automation methods and techniques
• Knowledge on operative IT systems/WMS and automation implementation or worked with automated logistics systems will be added advantage
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel functions – VBA/VLOOKUP/PivotTable, and PowerPoint, etc), and knowledge about other Microsoft 365 Apps including but not limited VISIO/Stream/Power BI is a plus
• Practical working experience with AutoCAD. Experience in CLASS, Sketchup and/or other supply chain design software/tools is a plus
