About the role
As part of our shift towards innovation and growth, Wine Portal is looking for an assistant marketing manager with strong experience to undertake marketing projects to build prominent brand awareness. Part of the role is to assist the head of marketing to execute marketing initiatives, which include strategy development, advertising, events, market research, and media planning.
1. Strategic Planning and Campaign Management
- Execute marketing campaigns with various business units to increase brand visibility, engagement, and sales.
- Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth.
2. Event Planning and Coordination
- Conceptualize, plan, and organize wine-related events tailored to the target audience for various business entities.
- Collaborate with business entities to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Evaluate event success and provide recommendations for future improvements.
3. A&P Budgeting
- Manage advertising and promotional budgets effectively to maximize ROI.
- Track and analyze spending to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Work together with the procurement teams for A&P budget and claims.
4. Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Collaborating closely with other departments such as sales, procurement and e-commerce to ensure alignment of trade marketing activities with overall business objectives.
- Lead a marketing and design team, providing guidance and support to achieve objectives within the business entities.
5. E-commerce and Digital Marketing Expertise:
- Utilize knowledge of e-commerce platforms to optimize online sales channels.
- Implement digital marketing strategies across various platforms, including social media, email, and SEO.
- Plan and manage social media initiatives including content and calendar, including videos and blog posts with the team.
- Plan and executive effective CRM strategies using existing platforms like Mailchimp, Shopify etc to increase database, engage and retain customers.
- Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to improve results.
6. Trade Marketing:
- Assist the head of marketing to work closely with the trade team and trade partners to ensure optimal product positioning and merchandising in stores.
- Develop trade marketing collateral such as sales presentations, and product catalogs to support sales efforts and communicate key selling points to trade partners.
Qualifications
- Min 5 years of experience in the F&B or wine industry, minimum 3 years managing a marketing team
- Preferably Bachelor degree holder or above, or equivalent.
- Proven working experience in marketing, particularly within the industry
- Experience in organising and hosting events
- Working knowledge of using e-commerce and CRM platforms such as Shopify and Mailchimp
- Preferably with WSET qualification, wine knowledge is a plus
