Precision Radiation Oncology Programme (PROP). The scope of the projects conducted under the premise of PROP includes 1) early- and late-phase clinical trials; 2) cancer genomics and data science; and 3) translational cancer and radiation biology. You will performs a variety of different activities related to planning, coordinating, and conducting multiple research studies within the overall scope of research projects in the Department of Occupational Therapy. You will function as part of the research team involved in various clinical research projects, supporting Principal Investigators in fulfilling the objectives of their research project, and ensure smooth and efficient conduct of research projects.

Responsibilities:

• Performs administrative and logistic activities related to study planning and implementation
• Assists in data collection, data entry, and data processing

The Associate Research Coordinator (ARC) will work with the Principal Investigator (PI) and Department of Breast Surgery to support administration of the compliance, financial and various operational aspects of clinical studies.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in all aspects of study operations for clinical studies.
• Take patient consent in clinic, as well as collect tissue and blood samples for clinical study,
• Manage grant coordination and submission and any other duties assigned by PI.
• Setup and maintain the clinical database.
• Collaborate with PI to prepare materials required for institutional review board (IRB).

Requirements:

• Diploma in life sciences or a related field.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy is a bonus (not required).

The Division of Supportive and Palliative Care is conducting research projects to improve health services for patients with cancer and other serious illnesses. The projects aim to develop, evaluate and implement novel models of healthcare service delivery for palliative care.

The research coordinator will perform a variety of activities under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and/or their designate:

• Conduct literature reviews
• Screen and recruit patients/ research participants
• Conduct semi-structured interviews with patients/ research participants
• Attend to the administrative and logistic needs of research projects
• Assess patients for supportive and palliative care needs and manage any identified needs

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science related degree preferred.
