The Singapore National Eye Centre/Singapore Eye Research Institute (SNEC/SERI), in collaboration with Nanyang Technological University (NTU), is seeking a highly qualified individual to take on a significant role in this exciting and rapidly developing research direction at the cross-roads of healthcare and artificial intelligence.

He/ She will be expected, but not limited to:

• Develop machine-learning and deep-learning solutions to address current clinical challenges, including segmentation, detection, and prediction, through the use of large-scale medical/ophthalmic images and data from state-of-the-art clinical platforms.
• Perform research in medical image processing and develop novel approaches to multimodal imaging (2D and 3D) using imaging systems ranging from current clinical systems to novel imaging prototypes.
• Conduct and coordinate research within SNEC/SERI and NTU in line with its research strategy and under the direction and supervision of the Principal Investigators and Collaborators.
• Manage these research projects in a team-based, cross-functional research environment, which include supervising doctoral and master students, research assistants, and technical and other support staff.
• Publish research outcomes in appropriate journals of international standing and to publish and disseminate the result of research and scholarship in other reputable outlets.
• Attend and present research findings and papers at academic and professional conferences, and to contribute to the external visibility of the department.
• Draft research report for Principal Investigators.
• Undertake specific roles and management functions as may be reasonably required by the Principal Investigators.
• Attend meetings and to participate (where necessary) in other committees and working groups within SNEC/SERI and NTU.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety in all aspects of work.

Job Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Information Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Previous experience in OCT, software development in OCT and OCT signal analysis would be an advantage.
• Possess good programming and image processing skills (e.g., MATLAB, Python).

Reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer, you will propose and implement the strategies, priorities and standards for managing cluster NUHS. The incumbent will also ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of the cluster NUHS framework and policies.

The research assistant will aid in a study exploring the impacts of virtual reality mindfulness interventions on end-stage kidney disease caregiver well-being. The Associate / Research Coordinator shall assist the Principal Investigator with collection of clinical data and data management for lymphoma research. They will also help implement and coordinate research projects and its activities. These activities may include screening, recruitment, incident event reporting, data entry, biological specimen collection and processing, maintenance of site files and research participants’ follow up.

Your responsibilites will include:

- Coordinate with Principal Investigator, patients, and relevant departments to help ensure that clinical research and related activities are performed in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, protocols, and regulatory compliances.

- Review and develop a familiarity with the study proceedings and timelines, inclusion / exclusion criteria, confidentiality, privacy protections to reduce screen failure of patients.

- Entry and validation of study data, extraction of relevant information from medical records, reporting of adverse events, maintenance of investigator files and other impertinent and essential documentation. Maintenance of existing database to input or validate prospective and retrospective data.

- Adherence to the IRB by ensuring site compliance with research protocols by reviewing all regulatory requirements to confirm implementation of appropriate methods, practices, and procedures for all research activities.

- Assist the Principal Investigator in submission of accurate and timely closeout documents. Coordinates appropriate and timely payments to participants (if applicable).

The Laboratory of Applied Human Genetics at the National Cancer Centre Singapore is a multi-disciplinary laboratory with specific focus on peritoneal malignancies and sarcoma. The direction of our laboratory is to solve real world clinical problems via sound scientific translation. Since the conception of our laboratory 7 years ago, we have now set up three scientific pillars of Therapeutics, Companion Diagnostic and CAPTIVATE (Target Generation) pipeline. Currently, we are working towards a first-in-human therapeutic developed in our laboratory. We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Fellow to work with a team of researchers in the area of cancer therapy for advanced metastatic cancers. Interested applicants should have an extensive molecular biology experience to uncover the MOA/structure of our therapeutic using cellular signaling, cell biology or protein structure approaches and possess the desire to translate basic science to make a clinical impact. Previous work with genomic / CRISPR / proteomic screens (or similar) to understand the molecular biology of key oncogenic drivers will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

- Establish bioassays for in-house screening pipelines to develop new therapeutics.

The Centre for Population Health Research and Implementation (CPHRI) is a centralised platform for population health research, innovation, implementation and evaluation activities in SingHealth. CPHRI aims to seamlessly leverage data and technology to guide and support population health initiatives and accelerate the implementation of research findings in care delivery and improvement.

You will support the work of the Population-based, Unified, Learning System for Enhanced and Sustainable Health (PULSES) Centre Grant as well as other signature research programmes in the centre. The National University Health System Virtual Care Centre (NUHS VCC) is an initiative where trained personnel provides tele-triage to patients and/or their caregivers. VCC will either provide advice and resolve the clinical question or escalate to the VCC clinician where appropriate. Our researchers specialize in policy, assessment and intervention research for people with diverse needs (disabilities/vulnerabilities) using implementation, evaluation, measurement, and data sciences.

As a Research Officer within CPH, you will be working closely with your supervisor and a team of researchers in conducting the various research activities involved in the project.

As a research fellow, the position holder will be in charge of setting and running an evaluation for Virtual Care Centre (VCC) in National University Health System. This is a 3-year funded study with opportunities for publications.

In addition, administrative work which may be related to research or general work will also be needed for this position. The staff will have opportunities to help in the administration of VCC but also as per directions of the Project Lead.

Primary Responsibilities

The Hematopoietic Stem Cell Laboratory laboratory under Prof William Hwang is looking to for RF who can bring the skillset to the hematopoietic stem cell expansion platform.

Education Qualifications:

- PhD with minimum 2 years of relevant experience with specialisation in stem cell culture.

Relevant Experence:
