**Position Summary:**
Our client is a leading MNC in the life sciences and manufacturing space, seeking a highly skilled and motivated **Singapore Grant Manager**. Reporting directly to the **Head of APAC Tax**, you will be responsible for managing government grants and incentives related to manufacturing and R&D activities in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have experience working with government agencies such as EDB, a strong background in finance, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments to optimise grant opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with senior management, including Global Operations, R&D, and Finance teams, to identify and optimise government grants and incentives.
- Lead strategic and tactical discussions with government agencies (e.g., EDB) on grant applications, project submissions, and cash recovery processes.
- Oversee the entire grant planning process to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely submission of grant applications.
- Work closely with the APAC General Accounting team and FP&A to manage grant accruals and financial forecasting.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior executives and management on project milestones and the financial status of grants.
- Ensure full compliance with all aspects of grant and incentive regulations, and resolve any issues in collaboration with relevant authorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in government agencies and statutory boards.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- 5-7 years of experience working with EDB and other government agencies on incentive and grant opportunities.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or tax, preferably in MNCs or Big 4 firms.
- Prior experience in working with external auditors and tax-incentivised companies.
- Experience in the life sciences or manufacturing industries is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to make decisions, handle unforeseen issues and effectively deal with ambiguity.
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral), with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher.
