This position is part of the Student Services (SS) department within Office of Academic Services (AS) serving as the first point of contact for students and alumni and enhancing the overall student services of the University. ASEAN+3 MACROECONOMIC RESEARCH OFFICE (AMRO) is an international organization that aims to contribute to the macroeconomic and financial resilience and stability of the ASEAN+3 region – comprising 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and China; Hong Kong, China; Japan; and Korea – through surveillance, supporting regional financing arrangements (RFAs), providing technical assistance (TA), serving as a regional knowledge hub (RKH) and facilitating ASEAN+3 financial cooperation.

AMRO is currently looking for the position of Deputy Director (Functional Surveillance and Research).

Under the supervision of AMRO Director, the Deputy Director (Functional Surveillance and Research) is primarily responsible for leading and supervising AMRO’s functional surveillance in financial and fiscal areas, as well as macro-financial research activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Deputy Director (Functional Surveillance and Research) will report to AMRO Director, and perform the following functions:

a) To lead and supervise the planning and implementation of AMRO’s functional surveillance, i.e., financial and fiscal surveillance, as well as macro-financial research activities (such as ensuring the quality and timely delivery of functional surveillance and research assignments, developing studies on frontier issues, including forward-looking analyses and policy implications as well as recommendations, on issues related to economic and financial stability of the region);

d) To build and strengthen relationship with strategic partners (IFIs, and other IOs), and manage participation of AMRO in seminars, conferences and other events relevant to AMRO's functional surveillance and research and oversee the quality and content of AMRO’s presentation materials; and

e) To perform other functions as may be determined by the Director in accordance with the AMRO Agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS

Successful candidates should possess:

a) Excellent educational background

‐ Qualification: A Post Graduate degree in Economics or other related fields from a reputable university is required. A Ph.D. degree in Economics or other related fields from a reputable university is preferrable.

b) Prominent professional career and expertise in macroeconomics research, financial markets, fiscal issues, or other related fields

‐ Qualification: Extensive academic research and/or policy study in the areas of Macroeconomics, Finance, Public Finance, Development Economics, International Finance, and other related fields.

• Build strategic partnerships with key partners and negotiate advertising contracts to create value for the Group.
• Oversee the organising of programming/special events to reach prospective customers.
• Approve and lead marketing campaigns to generate interest for the Group’s Asia Pacific businesses.

Customer-Focus

• Monitor relationships with existing customers through CRM systems.
• Ensure the CRM system provides an effective sale funnel.
• Review and select CRM software that meets the company’s needs.
• Review and revamp the Zouk Group Loyalty Programme.
• Partner with IT on the development of Zouk Group Applications

Administration, Internal Communications, Processes and Reporting

• Plan, direct and coordinate marketing budgets in accordance with the Group’s strategic objectives.
• Monitor and report KPIs (marketing metrics, trends like conversion rates and web analytics) on a regular basis and formulate action plans to address gaps.
• Partner HR for internal communications.
• Review and improve marketing workstream processes to increase effectiveness and efficiencies.

Qualification and Experience Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business (MBA preferred).
• +10 years of well-rounded marketing or business development experience in positions of increasing responsibility – with a focus on marketing expansion.
• Three to five years of experience in a leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with CRM and SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Adwords, HubSpot, WebTrends, SalesForce, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of big data analysis

The incumbent is overall in charge for Finance and Administration operations in Singapore office. He/She is also required to assist the CEO to manage the operations in Asean region.

Your main responsibilities include: -

• Managing finance, HR/Admin and IT strategies

• Consolidating regional financial reporting and risk management

• Assisting Japan HQ to implement internal control systems in the region.

Requirement

· Degree holder

· Candidate must have fluent Japanese language proficiency to communicate with Japan HQ

· Candidate must have at least 10-15 years of relevant working experience

· Candidate with experience working in a diverse culture environment will have a distinct advantage

· Candidate will be required to work independently under minimal supervision and a team player

· Candidate with excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and IT skills will have a distinct advantage

· Candidate will be required to travel overseas for work purpose occasionally.
