The position requires the administration of the background screening process and analyzing the verification results of all potential hires in the Asia Pacific region. This requires collection of information sources, research methodology, and dealing with screening vendors and internal clients.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Research and analyze the background of potential and existing hires. Communicate and explain any discrepancies that are found in the course of verification to the respective requestors.

Key Responsibilities:

HOW YOU WILL FULFIL YOUR POTENTIAL

• Collaborate and work as a team across IA Global Markets, IA and Goldman Sachs

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Approximately 1-3 years of prior experience in auditing controls. This could be in an IA team, or consulting, regulatory body or a related control function, with controls testing as part of your role, i.e. compliance testing group or a risk and control team
• Team-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability and able to work under minimal supervision on individual tasks or on team projects
• Ability to work effectively across a large audit team, understanding the team's role in the overall strategy of the firm and able to coordinate with global counterparts
• Accurate, accountable and able to multitask while managing both time and work load
• Highly motivated with strong analytical skills, willing and able to learn new business and system processes quickly
• An understanding of Risk Management and Governance skills (Market, Credit, Liquidity, Operational and Model Risk Management) and financial products, Trading Surveillance or Unauthorized Trading Controls is a plus
• Knowledge of financial markets rules and regulations (CFTC, FINRA, Volcker, SEC, etc.) is a plus
• Relevant certification or industry accreditation such as CA, CIA, CFA will be a plus for this role
