About the role

The System Verification team tests the integrated electronics and software of the products. The degree of sophistication and complexity varies from product to product, with different technologies and features. This variety of test needs requires creative verification solutions with automation applied where possible. The verification team sits in the Hardware Haircare group, alongside electronics design and sensor development. The verification team is based across sites in Southeast Asia; the team works collaboratively to test the Haircare product range through the different product development stages; this can include early technology investigations through to production and manufacturing test development and support. • Evaluate samples provided by customers and generate a comprehensive evaluation report.
• Include optic setup details such as field of view (FOV), camera specifications, and lighting types.
• Perform image analysis of defects using in-house imaging software.
• Provide comments on findings and propose potential solutions.
  Collaborate closely with the Product and Sales teams.

Pre-shipment Support:

• Create a vision configuration report with 2D CAD drawings.
• Develop system schematic diagrams using 2D CAD drawings.
• Generate 2D CAD drawings for trigger cables, strobe cables, and I/O interface cables.
• Prepare application notes and communication protocol documents in Microsoft Word.
• Install and set up Vision PC on semiconductor sorter and scanner machines.
• Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team.
  

Post-shipment Support:

• Act as a backup for service personnel in field troubleshooting of Vision PC.
• Provide phone and Team Viewer remote support.
• Collaborate closely with the Field Service team.
  

In-house Components Co-development Support (Occasionally):

• Evaluate camera sensor sensitivity and response time.
• Select appropriate light sources for specific applications and assess light intensity spreading.
• Optimize optical setups and select suitable optical components.
• Test new software releases in collaboration with the R&D team.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Physics or Optics Engineering with 2 years working experience
• Diploma holders in Mechatronics / Mechanical or Electrical & Electronics will also be considered
• Experience with 2D CAD drawing, optical design software, optical alignment and optical testing preferred

Job Scope

• Design complex multi-layer, highly dense embedded mixed power and digital printed circuit boards
• BOM selection and sourcing of electronic components (microcontrollers, sensors, MOSFETs, voltage regulators, transformers etc) based on cost and performance metrics
• Manage PCB design, fabrication and outsource of PCB assembly
• Prototyping, hardware testing, firmware testing and troubleshooting of electrical components at PCB level and system level
• PCB test bench preparation
• Production troubleshooting

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics Engineering with 5+ years experience
• Knowledge of hybrid battery management system, ultra-capacitors and DC-DC converter design is a plus
• Working knowledge of schematic design (e.g. ORCAD/Altium)
• Working knowledge of PCB design tool (e.g. ORCAD/Altium) is a plus

Job Description

• Co-ordination and supervision of M&E works
• Liaise with M&E Consultants
• Ascertain and make provision for all M&E and building services in collaboration with the project staff
• Monitor progress, quality of workmanship and compliance with authority requirements.
• Highlight and advise the project staff on the interfacing of M&E services and the building works
• Coordination with multiple parties not limiting to design consultants / engineers, clients’ project representatives, statutory / authority agencies etc. for the establishment of the design deliverables requirements for submission

Job Requirements:

As a Product Design Engineer specializing in IO connectors, your primary focus will be on supporting the development and manufacturing of new products. • Create Product Modifications and series expansions to increase market share

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 3 years mechanical product design experience with electronic products
• Experienced with product development process
• Understanding of Tolerance analysis, DFMEA, FEA
• Attention to details, be creative, good interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal cross functional teams and external customers
• Self-starter with confidence to initiate action independently
