As the Accountant you will play a key role in the finance function of the company, this is a dynamic role with a multitude of responsibilities. The company is looking to scale quickly, presenting a good opportunity for learning and career progression.
Responsibilities
• Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to management (duties include bank reconciliation, AR/AP management, monthly accruals, etc.)
• Able to handle full set of accounts for a single operating entity.
• Prepare financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping functions and financial transactions.
• Assist management in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll.
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required.
• Maintain and improve financial controls and procedures.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
• General office administrative support as and when needed.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACCA/CPA/CA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Zoho is a plus) and MS Excel and Word
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
