Join the dynamic Asia Client Services team at J.P. Morgan Asset Management and deliver exceptional experiences to intermediary clients as a Client Service Executive. You will service clients across Singapore, Southeast Asia and Global Private Banks, and understanding their unique needs across all asset classes and advocating for them within the firm.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Client Service Executive with experience working in the servicing and/or financial sector to join our team responsible for delivering exceptional client service to intermediary clients of J.P. Morgan Asset Management in Singapore, Southeast Asia and Global Private Banks, with the potential to expand their responsibilities to servicing the broader region/client segment.
As the primary point of contact for our intermediary clients, Client Service Executive is required to have an in-depth understanding of clients’ requirements across all markets, locations, client entity types and investment requirements. Also, Client Service Executive supports from the initial point of onboarding to ownership of legal agreement execution, client acceptance on AML KYC processes in accordance with the regulatory requirements, account operational set up, and every downstream consideration such as fees, reporting, regulatory-required notifications set up on behalf of and within the context of the larger firm.
Successful candidate will report to Singapore’s Funds Client Service Manager and is required to collaborate with Client Advisors, Compliance, Service Delivery, Operations & Onboarding, Chief Administration Office in both Asia and Europe.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Act as day-to-day client service contact point for our intermediary clients including banks, asset managers, insurance companies and global platform distributors.
2. Manage client on-/off-boarding, KYC and account related changes according to the internal and regulatory requirements.
3. Liaise between clients and the internal teams to resolve any queries on client instructions and dealing related activities.
4. Ensure client impacting fund changes and associated notification is prepared and communicated to the clients and relevant stakeholders timely.
5. Takes initiative in identifying and driving opportunities to streamline or enhance team efficiency.
6. Communicate significant client issues internally and document/escalate as appropriate.
7. Work hand-in-hand with project team on client impacting business and regulatory driven projects and initiatives.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
2. Minimum 4 years of experience at Asset Management firms, Private Wealth Management firms or other relevant Financial Institutions, and background in client service.
3. Strong knowledge of the Asset Management business, well-versed across all asset classes and investment products.
4. Experience in account opening, client onboarding, operational support, issues management, understanding of compliance and regulatory complexities in Asset Management business.
5. Demonstrate keen interest in financial markets, industry and regulatory news.
6. Dynamic and independent team player who possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills in delivering exceptional client services, showcasing the ability to proactively engage multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority to meet strict timelines and operate with strong sense of ownership and urgency.
7. Ability to work independently and with teams. Strong organizational and prioritization skills are required alongside effective judgement from risk and escalation perspectives.
8. Experience in handling contract negotiation and review.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
1. In-depth knowledge of Singapore’s Fund industry and experience in insurance sector is preferred.
2. Experience in Singapore’s registered and restricted fund types, Luxembourg’s Sicav funds, Asia and/or European transfer agents is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge in global platform distributor’s operating models is beneficial.
4. Professional qualifications such as SFA (Securities and Futures Act) and/or FAA (Financial Adviser Act) is an added advantage.
