We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to support our business growth in the region. The BDM will be primarily responsible for driving growth of the business and customer engagement through new customer acquisition (sales), management of existing accounts as well as developing and implementing appropriate marketing initiatives.

Desired Skill Set and Experience

● Have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in business development and / or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) sales role.

● Demonstrated track record of contract execution and achieving of sales target in a digital product consultancy / start-up / SaaS environment.

● Demonstrated track record of planning and managing deals from pre-sales to post-sales follow ups.

● Prepare, deliver and present high quality, professional proposals, quotes and business plans crafted towards the customers’ needs and expectations applying negotiation skills as and when required.

● Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills in English language.

● Inquisitive and solutions-oriented mindset to address needs that supports client's business objectives.

● Have strong business acumen, entrepreneurial mindset, negotiation skills, strategic planning skills and problem solver.

● Possess interest in latest digital trends, particularly within the area of PropTech, property trends and development as well as digital product development.

● Ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team and communicate effectively in a remote collaboration environment.

● Ability to multi-task, work efficiently and independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Mandatory Skills

• Bachelor Degree in a related field.
• Proven experience in strategy development, business management, and financial analysis.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights (proven ability to bring order to unstructured problems).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Project management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead cross-functional teams to successful project completion.
• In-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software for strategic decision support.
• High level of adaptability, creativity, and strategic thinking to navigate a dynamic business environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and JIRA.
• Independent and highly motivated team player with a positive work attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

Skillsets (Good to have)

• Preferred experience within a technology function of financial services firm.

Role and Responsibilities

Business Management:

• Spearhead the department’s internal communication and engagement plan - assist in the planning, execution, and/or coordination of meetings, forums, and/or internal events. Responsible for regular and ad hoc senior management reporting and presentations.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business and operational performance, and identify areas for improvement.
• Oversee smooth functioning of day-to-day administrative activities with support of the department's Executive Assistant.

• Governance:

• Support orchestration and delivery of governance mechanisms ensuring that appropriate decisions, forums and documentation are made to support running of department.

• Portfolio Management:

• Support development and management of comprehensive business plans, including financial projections, budget, workforce and risk assessments, to support decision-making processes.
• Provide leadership in project management, monitoring progress across departmental portfolio and applying corrective actions.
