Job Summary
This global role is targeted at a product manager with experience of open account products and structures. You will be responsible for managing and delivering the global objectives of the Receivables product and digital proposition. These include financial and non-financial performance, taking charge of new initiative/proposition development and ongoing product development, defining the product strategies, and oversight of risk and governance. All of the above should be in alignment with the global trade strategy.
• Set, manage, and deliver the digital proposition for Receivables products from end-to-end. Includes setting the vision, the product strategy and design, commercialisation, financial performance and risk governance. The focus is on client-centric solutions that will enable SCB to compete in the market and meet the business’ objectives
• Own the consolidated digital roadmap for Receivables aligned with the product vision and strategy; manage and prioritise the backlog to deliver value to clients and the Bank
• Develop and execute product strategy, whilst managing risk and compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the Bank and/or with vendors/3rd parties to deliver of the propositions
• Commercialise the product and proposition
• Oversee key metrics (e.g., revenue, utilisation, costs, RWA, returns, TATs, etc.); use data to inform product strategy and priorities
• Conduct research and competitive analysis to inform product development
• Partner with other global, regional, and country leaders to share best practices, drive business strategies and outcomes
• Contribute to the setting and delivery of the growth and business targets for Receivables globally
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
· Help articulate the global digital product vision for Receivables, including positioning of the product with the Bank’s target clients, and strategies for achieving business targets
· Provide business development and strategic direction across the digital Receivables product suite
· Develop and commercialise digital Receivables solutions to grow SCB’s Receivables revenues
· Understand customer needs and challenges; use this to inform future opportunities
· Stay abreast of client, industry, and regulatory trends in the digital space, use it to develop or reinforce our competitive edge and product proposition, or position SCB’s offering in the market
Business
• Responsible for the delivery and performance of the Receivables product and digital proposition:
· Demonstrate active product life cycle management through scrutiny of regular financial data; annual assessments of products and processes, ensuring they are Fit for Purpose & Fit for Growth
· Own and prioritise the product backlog holistically, be it for development internally or with vendors/3rd parties]
· Run the business deployment of global digital Receivables propositions and initiatives
· Develop and own go-to-market approach for digital propositions
· Ensure appropriate governance is in place for managed products and work with relevant stakeholders to ensure the product complies all process and policy guidelines
· Assess new trends and provide feedback to link those with current offering and impact to clients
· Drive active engagement with Sales, Coverage, Structuring, Operations, Implementation and other key stakeholders to ensure appropriate support for deal prospecting and closure
· Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors/3rd party platforms as necessary, to collate business intelligence and deliver client solutions, as appropriate
Digitisation
· Drive digital adoption amongst clients and strategic digitalisation within the Bank to improve the product solutions and delivery
· Commercialise proprietary as well as third party channels in alignment with Group strategy
· Support the governance and ongoing management of vendors and third parties at a global level
· Responsible for a coherent digital/product proposition and roadmap that is also consistent with product strategy
· Ensure sufficient internal support, resources and know-how for any digitisation initiatives
· Drive thought leadership on trade digitisation in the Receivables space
Brand, Marketing & Training
· Conduct training and workshops for internal stakeholders across specific solutions or initiatives to further strengthen Receivables knowledge across the Bank, and maintain Central Product’s links with teams

• Ensure end-to-end processes linked to product delivery to our clients are fit-for-purpose, and enable sustainable growth of the Receivables product by improving process efficiency. Improvements should be measurable in tangible outcomes for our clients and the Bank

• Directly/indirectly influence the cross-functional team that is responsible for delivery; and seek ongoing support
• Develop junior talent in the Central Product team; help develop less experienced colleagues in the regions in their knowledge of Receivables
Risk Management
• Ensure meaningful controls across the Receivables product and transaction lifecycle by strengthening critical controls while reducing/removing those that are ineffective
• Identify and mitigate Operational, Credit, Regulatory, Financial Crime risk relating to the Receivables product
• Work with the second line on solutions that balance the risk to the Bank and desired client/business outcomes
Governance
• Drive a disciplined approach to governance with bank’s policies
• Ensure that the Product Programme Guide (PPG) for the Receivables product is fit-for-purpose and easily comprehensible by key stakeholders
• Responsible for ensuring the appropriate governance is in place prior to the launch of new products/propositions at a global level
• Proactively work with stakeholders to identify and quantify new and existing risks across the product/proposition at a global level

Our Ideal Candidate
· 10+ years of regional or global product management experience in trade finance with a Bank or trade platform
· In-depth knowledge of Open Account products and structures, especially receivables finance
· Experience with digital product development including Agile methodology
· Strong project management skills and experience in working cross-functionally
· Proven ability to commercialise new products with internal stakeholders and with external clients
· Analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools to use information to identify new business opportunities and room for improvement/efficiency gains
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders directly or indirectly, across the SCB global network and with vendors
· Ability to keep abreast of changes in the market, with customer requirements and with competitors
· Experience in working with vendors to jointly deliver solutions
· Depth of understanding of financial regulation impacting the International Trade Business
