Key responsibilities:
· Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, MSC Asia Regional Office
· Focusing primarily on Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations and project implementation
· Documentation and Knowledge-Base recording
· Troubleshooting and providing solutions; seeking appropriate resource and assistance where required
· Perform ready-for-business pre-checks before official business hours
· Ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned by the IS General Manager
Pre-requisites:
1. Diploma/Degree in Computing, IT or equivalent qualifications.
2. Certifications (e.g. MCSE, CCNA, etc) are an added advantage.
3. Candidates will need to demonstrate a subset (not necessarily all) of the below skills: -
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, Windows Server 2019 and above; Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, DNS, PowerShell scripting
· Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud and Server Administration
· Experienced with daily ops and project implementations
· Hands-on experience with HA and DRP server setup, e.g. SQL Always On Availability Groups, Windows Failover Clusters, SRM, ASR
· Knowledge and experience with
o virtualization technologies, e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Virtual Network etc
o Software and OSD deployment such as WSUS, Intune
o Microsoft’s collaboration tools, e.g. SPO, Teams, etc
o Email system and Exchange Online administration
o IP related protocols/services such as ICMP, TCP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP and VLAN
· Knowledgeable on backup software (especially with cloud connectors), and backup policy
· Knowledge of Citrix Workspace and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
· Knowledge of internet/intranet technologies including security features, and network infrastructure and operations (including switching, routing, Ethernet, TCP/IP)
· Knowledge of Fortinet, Palo Alto and Aruba appliances + VPN
· Knowledge of DNS for threat blocking solutions, antivirus, IPS/IDS, and threat protection.
· Knowledge of Forward/Reverse proxy technologies including security features/Proxy
· Routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP/HSRP and MPLS.
· Administration and troubleshooting skill in network environment would be advantageous
· Have knowledge and experience in interpreting security logs and IT security baseline
· Familiarity with National Security guidelines (SingCERT)
· Knowledge on SAN, Zoning, LUN assigning, MPIO Management
· Good communication, management, analytical and problem-solving skills
· Administration and troubleshooting skills within a regional, multi-domain networked environment is required
· Experience with Security and Infrastructure Audits, as well as ISO Compliance would be advantageous
· Experience working within an ITSM environment with ServiceNow would be advantageous
· An enthusiasm for learning about current and new technologies
· Proven ability to resolve a high number of incidents and work well under pressure
· Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
· Must be bilingual
4. At least 3 years of experience in relevant field is preferred
5. Candidates should also be willing to be on standby for emergency response, as well as participate in after-hours maintenance work
6. A Team worker who possesses drive, initiative, and is result-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
