The purpose of this role is to support the finance and economics offering across Southeast Asia, based in Singapore. You will provide focus, continuity and technical guidance across infrastructure advisory projects across various infrastructure subsectors. The Opportunity

• Supporting more significant and complex projects and will likely be responsible for specific financial advisory work streams within multiple concurrent projects
• Taking primary responsibility for building and running financial models for major infrastructure projects across SE Asia
• Undertaking financial analysis of projects, often using financial models prepared by you or others in the Investor Advisory team, to determine a project’s operational, financial and commercial viability,or to determine a resultant funding gap
• You will support the execution of processes outlined in Arup’s Management System

We’re now looking for a Principal Analyst to join our highly respected advisory team which supports the world’s largest Fortune technology companies.

This individual will work in an experienced global team that specializes in the technology partner ecosystem landscape and will have a specific focus on the Asia Pacific partner ecosystem. In this role, the individual will assess how technology companies go to market through partnerships across a complex, dynamic region. The individual will lead an established research program, but also play an integral role in further evolving the offering, assisting in sales and marketing activities to drive client acquisition, as well as driving and executing the overall research agenda.

As the service lead, the individual will be expected to build up a strong knowledge of the Asia Pacific landscape and strive to become a thought leader that this community can rely on. In addition to subject matter expertise, this individual will take on a management role of at least one analyst and in that capacity, oversee their research production and provide mentorship and leadership.

Main duties

• Oversee the annual research agenda for the Channels APAC service, and aligning with sister research programs in other regions.
• Conduct on-going primary research, including contacting companies for briefings to develop an understanding of their APAC channel strategies.
• Write short reports, blogs and develop presentations on trends pertaining to the APAC ecosystem.
• Connect with vendor analyst relations teams to ensure inclusion in briefings, events, and media releases.
• Support sales and marketing activities to get new clients to subscribe to the research program.

The Role

A fabulous opportunity in Schonfeld’s Core Operations team in Singapore. We are a global multi-manager platform with both internal and external portfolio managers who invest across a variety of strategies e.g. Fundamental Equity, Tactical, Quantitative, Discretionary Macro & Fixed Income etc. You will be working with experienced Operations professionals to implement best-in-class operational procedures. You can also look forward to owning some of the most challenging and unique operational challenges in the hedge fund industry.

What You’ll Do

• Perform T+1 reconciliations, including break resolution, between internal systems or internal systems and Prime Broker for a variety of financial instruments e.g. Equity, Futures, Option, FX, Bond, Listed Swap, OTC etc.
• Review external fund administrators’ T+1 reconciliations and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders e.g. Middle Office, Asset Servicing, Fund Accounting, Prime Broker, Third-Party service providers to resolve breaks
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders e.g. Operations Technology, Trade Support, Accounting Valuations Team, Third-Party service providers etc. to resolve operational issues, automate operational processes, implement strategic initiatives, roll out best practices, standardize operational procedures etc.
• Work alongside senior team members and management on strategic initiatives and implement enhancements to streamline workflows and achieve efficiencies
• Create structure by defining operational procedures, recommending process improvements and rolling them out
• Other ad-hoc tasks and/or projects as and when it’s assigned by senior team members and/or management team

What You’ll Bring

• In-depth product knowledge on financial instruments e.g. Equity, Futures, Option, FX, Bond, Listed Swap, OTC etc.
• Highly experienced in performing reconciliations, including break resolution, between order management system and accounting system, order management system and Prime Broker trading data etc.
• Experienced in order management and/or accounting systems e.g. Enfusion, Traiana, Geneva, Gresham etc.
• Experienced in migrating reconciliations and/or operational processes which involve different accounting systems
• Proven track record in automating operational processes, implementing process enhancements and working with multiple stakeholders to roll out strategic initiatives
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel e.g. PivotTable, functions, Visual Basic for Application and programming languages e.g. Python, C++, JavaScript, SQL etc.

Who You are

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or any other related field
• 1-3 years of working experience in the Hedge Fund industry (preferably with a multi-manager platform)

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the Workday HRIS system for users.

Key Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in IT, Project Management, or equivalent.

• Knowledge of Compensation and Performance processes, and familiarity with Public Service HR policies and practices preferred.
