Visa is looking for a Compliance Manager based in Singapore to be part of Currencycloud’s Asia Pacific (APAC) Compliance and Regulatory team. Currencycloud is part of Visa Group entities and covers Visa’s regulated payment business within Money Movement Solutions (MMS) in APAC. Currencycloud is also consolidated under Visa Direct which streamlines all of Visa’s cross border payments under one unified branding. The Currencycloud APAC Compliance and Regulatory team serves as a critical partner to the MMS business, providing pragmatic, solutions-oriented advice to ensure that the regulated payment activities within licensed entities in APAC are in line with the local regulatory requirements where the licensed entities are operating in as well as Visa’s group standards. What a Compliance Manager does at Visa:

Based in Singapore, this position will support the Currencycloud APAC Head of Compliance and Regulatory who is also the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) of Visa’s regulated entity as a Major Payments Institution (MPI) in Singapore, covering AML/CFT and Sanctions compliance matters. This position will be reporting to the Currencycloud APAC Head of Compliance and Regulatory based in Singapore and is a newly created position as part of Visa’s expansion plans within the APAC region.

The core responsibilities for this role are as follows:

·       Support Singapore MLRO in the development and maintenance of robust AML/CFT and Sanctions frameworks which are in line with the Singapore’s Payment Services Act (PSA) and the relevant subsidiary legislations issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as well as Visa’s Global Compliance and other International AML/CFT and Sanctions standards. ·       Support the APAC Client Migration Project upon activation of Singapore license, including preparation of KYC uplift requirements and review of incremental KYC documentations upon submission by relevant clients.

·       Perform horizon scanning of AML/CFT and Sanctions legislations, including gap and impact analysis on consultation papers, new circulars, notices etc.

·       Handle AML/CFT, Sanctions and other related regulatory audits and ensure that the reviews commensurate with the nature, size and complexity of the regulated activities within the business and the ML/TF risks arising from those businesses; track progress of remedial plans arising from audit and/or regulatory inspection findings.

Duties and Responsibilities

Quality management and control

• Overall in charge of the entire packaging workshop, inclusive of data coding and laser printing and cellophane wrapping of final products.

• Manage the entire packing process, planning production schedule and communicate with cross-functional teams and departments to meet the delivery deadline

• Recognize and identify risk control points to compliance processes, including AML-CFT risk ratings, KYC onboarding, ongoing screening and maintenance of customer business relationships, and transaction monitoring

Responsibilities:

1. Developing Quality Standards

• Establishing and maintaining quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.

2. Quality Management Systems (QMS)

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive QMS in compliance with relevant standards & regulations, such as ISO9001 and industry-specific requirements.
• Implementing & managing QMS to continuously improve processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall product quality.
• Set quality strategies to drive company quality culture and quality improvements in process, product, and system.

3. Supplier Quality Management

• Collaborating with suppliers to ensure materials and components meet quality standards and conducting audits as needed.
• Maintains strong supplier quality relationships and drive supplier performance improvements.

4. Quality Assurance

• Creating and executing quality assurance programs, including testing protocols, inspection procedures, and product evaluations.
• Provide headship and consulting advice in quality matters.

5. Quality Control

• Establish and oversee quality control procedures & inspection processes to ensure product and service quality meets or exceeds customers expectations.

6. Data Analysis and Reporting

• Analyzing quality data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement. Generating reports and presenting findings to senior management.

• Lead a team of metrology specialists, inspectors, and engineers to manage day-to-day product inspection and buyoff.
• Lead a team of inspectors and supervisors to ensure incoming materials met internal and customer specifications and requirements.
• Lead, train, develop, and coach Quality team members. Manage performance evaluation and strengthen the organization.

8. Regulatory Compliance

• Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO, SEMI, customer-specific requirements).
• Plan and lead manufacturing process audit.

• Driving continuous improvement initiatives, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor in Engineering (Quality, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Engineering, Material Science) or a related field.
• A minimum 10 years of experience in quality management & assurance. Preferably from manufacturing semiconductor/manufacturing or electronics or high- tech instrument industry setting.
• Professional & strong knowledge of QMS & ISO Standards in a semiconductors/manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with applicable regulatory and certifications requirements.
• Quality Auditor Certification is a plus.
• Good knowledge and practice Lean, FMEA, 6-sigma methodology, PPAP, change management.
• Good understanding of First Article Inspection requirements and expectations.
• Good understanding and experience in metrology management.
• Good understanding and experience in supplier quality management.
• Strong in analysis techniques and problem solving methodology.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external teams in both bilingual.
• Strong analytical problem solver with demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment while working independently to resolve critical issues.

Responsibilities are mainly ensuring the right level of internal control and driving process improvement within LFCS and L Beauty.

Coordinate Internal Control self-assessment and action plan implementation

• Execute and coordinate yearly LVMH Internal Control self-assessment campaign. Review supporting documents submitted by process owners, challenge declarations/ratings, and perform substantive tests to validate the accuracy of the process owners’ self-assessments.
• Identify main control gaps, formulate pragmatic, practical solutions and recommendations.
• Work with the process owners to design action plans to address the gaps identified effectively. Actively support local teams during implementation phases.
• Follow-up on the action plans and provide a clear picture of the progress and status for clear reporting and/or presenting to Management

Drive processes continuous improvement initiatives and advocate internal control good practices

• Actively participate in drafting, developing, and implementing standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with LVMH policies and local laws (if applicable), strengthen internal controls, and promote standardization of processes.
• Conduct analysis and testing of potential risk areas and provided recommendations to ensure adequate controls were in place to mitigate risks.
• Draft internal control newsletters, assist or conduct trainings/webinars on internal control-related topics and processes, or to introduce new LVMH guidelines or revisions of SOPs.

Lead internal control projects and other initiatives

• Plan and coordinate internal control projects (e.g., Business Continuity Plan, Crisis Management, Anti Money Laundering procedures, etc.). Monitor progress and prepare status reports for Management.
• Actively contribute to process continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., automation of financial processes).

Partner with stakeholders to establish sound practices and effective controls

• Review and improve business process SOPs, ensuring consistency with LVMH Internal Control standards and guidelines, and identify and propose modifications or updates, if needed.
• Provide recommendations on effective and efficient procedures and controls for new business processes.
• Perform routine checks as the independent reviewer of business processes to ensure the continuous operating effectiveness of key controls.
