Recently, the laboratory is actively involved in studying the immune responses in SARS-CoV1, SARS-CoV2 and other emerging viral diseases.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Team Lead in any activities related to product analysis, product / process / packaging development and regulatory requirements.

The National University of Singapore invites applications for research fellow in the Department of Biochemistry, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Yu lab has been established since 2021 and the major mission is to develop new therapeutic strategies for atherosclerotic coronary artery disease and metabolic diseases. We use cutting-edge technologies including functional genomics, CRISPR/Cas9-based functional screening, and multi-omics to discover novel therapeutic targets and disease regulating pathways. Purpose of the post

We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in cell biology, molecular biology, and mouse models. Preference will be given to candidate with prior in vivo mouse experience or prior experience with metabolism or cardiovascular research.

2. Laboratory Operations and Maintenance:

- Collect, prepare, analyze, dissect, and evaluate specimens and tissue cultures to support ongoing research initiatives.

- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, actively contributing to the overall efficiency and organization of the laboratory.

- Execute a variety of assays, tests, and research studies with precision and accuracy.

3. Data Analysis and Documentation:

The Laboratory of Skin Stem Cell Dynamics, headed by Dr. Kenneth Lay, investigates how stem cells of the skin govern tissue homeostasis and contribute to disease pathogenesis so as to reveal novel pharmacological intervention points. We focus on two stem cell populations that maintain distinct compartments of the skin throughout our lifetime: epidermal stem cells and hair follicle stem cells. We use in vivo mouse models and in vitro human 2D cell culture, 3D skin organotypics and iPSC-derived skin organoids, and employ cell and molecular biology, biochemistry and omics technologies to tackle inflammatory skin disorders, including atopic dermatitis and hair loss.

We are looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join our laboratory in A*STAR Skin Research Labs (A*SRL) and affiliated with Skin Research Institute of Singapore (SRIS), a tripartite partnership between A*STAR, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National Skin Centre (NSC) to improve skin health in Asia and globally.

Duties and responsibilities:
