The new Centre for Investor Protection aims to undertake independent research, public education and related activities to promote the improvement of investor protection in Singapore and beyond. Projects conducted by the centre should have significant implications for policy and practices relating to investor protection. The key types of research and activities to be conducted are:

The Research Manager will report to the centre Director and is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the centre’s projects. The Laboratory of Virus Evolution (LoVE) studies rapidly evolving respiratory RNA viruses including influenza, parainfluenza and coronaviruses. Our research helps to understand the molecular drivers of virus evolution and population dynamics, and their influence on virulence and pathogenicity.

The candidate is expected to play a critical role in generating and fostering a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research environment. Job Description

You will assist Principal investigators in conducting clinical trials & research projects according to Singapore Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. You will plan, organise & coordinate workflow of study projects from initiation to completion phase, perform screening and recruitment activities as well as compile relevant patients' data and maintain proper study documentation according to established protocols and regulatory requirements. The Senior / Executive will be responsible for the daily operations of SingHealth’s research facilities and attend to daily queries from research staff. You will arrange the necessary logistics and processes for new investigators and departments moving into SingHealth Research Facilities and ensure the proper return of laboratory or office space when they vacate the premises.

You will assist in the preparation and renewal of licenses, sub-tenancy and service agreements. You will be responsible for the purchase of equipment and consumables, renewal of equipment service contracts and other services, as well as the processing of such invoices. You will also manage requests for card access to research facilities.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that the laboratories under the jurisdiction of the Office of Research are fully compliant with safety regulations and SOPs. You will need to maintain all laboratory-related licenses and permits as well as update chemical inventories in the laboratories. You will need to ensure that regular inspections of the laboratories are conducted and rectify any issues raised from the inspections.

Job Requirements:

• Degree, preferably in Biomedical Science or related discipline with 4 years of relevant work experience
