About the role

• Communicate with Engineers on spares availability
• Performing credit back of unused spares
• Perform installation/dismantling of aircraft components on SAP
• Managing 3rd party spares inventory
• Communicate with Customer Support team when required.
• Carry out any other tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Executive.

Requirements:

• Minimum Higher Nitec in Aerospace Engineering or Equivalent
• Good communication in written and spoken in English.
• Able to work in dynamic and fast-moving environment.
• Highly organized and computer literate.
• SAP experienced preferred.

Position Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for the managing all aspects of the sea freight import process.

Job Description

• Manage all aspects of the sea freight import process.
• Obtain and communicate, internally and externally, all necessary information to ensure correct measures are in place and customer needs are met.
• Liaise between suppliers, overseas office and agents to obtain up to date shipment information.
• Follow up on delivery schedule and ensure that customers are fully informed of the progress of their shipments.
• Liaise with transport companies and provide the relevant information to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.
• Ensure correct documentation is on file and act accordingly as set out in the instructions.
• Maintain all files ensuring they are costed and billed correctly in accordance with procedures provided by management.
• Maximise profits for the department by obtaining optimal buying rates and keeping operational errors to a minimum.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Tool Store Operations:

• Handle the receipt, documentation, storage, and distribution of aircraft tools.
• Ensure safety and proper management of tools.
• Maintain a 5S environment within the tool store.

Tool Calibration and Safety:

• Ensure tools are calibrated and that lifting gear undergoes timely load testing and visual inspections.
• Track the expiry dates of tools and equipment.

Vendor Liaison:

• Coordinate with vendors for the purchase, repair, and maintenance of aircraft tools.

Record Keeping and Compliance:

• Maintain accurate records for operations and training.
• Coordinate for authority and customer audits.
• Keep up with the paperwork related to tool management.

Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance:

• Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of department equipment, tools, and vehicles.
• Manage the maintenance and repair program for aircraft tools, either troubleshooting in-house or liaising with external vendors.

Staff Training and Safety:

• Train staff on minor troubleshooting for tools and equipment.
• Conduct briefings on technical handling and safety issues for staff.

Miscellaneous:

• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Operation Executive.

Requirements:

• Education: Higher NITEC or Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain or a related discipline.
• Experience: Preferably at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Skills:Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
  Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  
• Other:Ability to work in a team environment.
  Class 3 driving license.
  Willingness to work overtime and on weekends when necessary.
