We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Job Summary:
The Accounts Executive will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial operations, including data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger (GL) entries. This position requires a strong understanding of full sets of accounts, financial reporting, and general accounting principles. The ideal candidate should be meticulous, organized, and possess strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilites
- Accounts Payable: Process invoices, attain approval from reviewer, and ensure timely payment to vendors. Handle payment runs and manage vendor relationships.
- Accounts Receivable: Prepare and issue invoices, monitor payments, and follow up on overdue accounts. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- General Ledger (GL) Entries: Prepare and post journal entries, maintain accurate and up-to-date GL records, and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Full Set of Accounts: Assist in preparing and maintaining full sets of accounts, including monthend and year-end closing activities.
- Staff Reimbursement: Review and process employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Petty Cash Management: Monitor petty cash transactions, maintain accurate records, and conduct regular reconciliations.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accurate recording of all cash transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports, ensuring compliance with accounng standards.
- Audit Support: Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that all financial transactions are properly documented and comply with local regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Strong understanding of full sets of accounts and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
