System Engineer | $ 6600 (VM ware & Redhat Linux)

1. Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
2. Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
3. Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
4. Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
5. Maintain security, backup, redundancy and BCP strategies
6. Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
7. Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
8. Manage the VMWare environment
9. Provide enterprise-wide support to a high level of Microsoft Azure & Rehat Linux
10. Support the HPE and Hitachi environments
11. Provide support in a 24/7 environment and would require to work on-call at least 1 week every month

Job Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• IT System Management experience of various aspect
• Possess initiative, positive attitude and strong passion in operation support
• Good communication skills and able to work independently;
• Able to start work immediately or within a short notice is an advantage
• Minimum 3-5 years of knowledge of the following technologies:
• VMware vCenter: ESXi, SRM, VRM
• Security operation and technologies such as Privileged Access Management, Endpoint Protection Platform, Firewall
• System Monitoring
• Backup And Recovery
• Windows Server OS with good understanding of Windows AD, DNS, GPO and Failover Clustering
• SAN storage with good understanding of remote site replication (Knowledge of administrating Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform would be an added advantage)

Job Description

• Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing and production usage
• Performs Database performance monitoring and tuning
• Closely monitor performance, identify problems and implement solutions
• Ensure the database is running at optimum speed and efficiency
• Maintain database backup and recovery environment

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• At least 8 years experiences in customizing solutions for Oracle DBA
• Experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA is desirable
• Experience with highly used large data warehouse environments
• Knowledge in logical and physical database design
• Understanding and experience with Oracle RMAN and Flashback technologies
• Integrate third party backup agents with RMAN.
• Experienced with the following Oracle technologies: RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard and Data Pump
