The Agency forCare Effectiveness (ACE) is a Health Technology Assessment (HTA) entity within MOH. The role of ACE is to a) support national policy decision making through evidence-based assessments and appraisals; b) produce national Guidance on appropriate, clinically and cost-effective patient care; and c) design and deliver interventions to ensure maximum value for the system and patients.

Within ACE, the value-based pricing (VBP) unit is responsible for negotiating with companies to achieve prices for health technologies under consideration by MOH’s advisory committees for eligibility to receive government subsidies that are better commensurate with the value these health technologies bring to patients in Singapore.
