Primary Purpose of Role

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure commercially focused, practical legal advice is provided across a scope of work including corporate, financial services, (re) insurance broking, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and information technology matters, including the provision of strategic advice to the Gallagher Asia–Pac Executive team and the broader Gallagher group legal teams.

This role will be based in Singapore and will work with Gallagher’s other offices in Asia, including, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Philippines. The legal counsel will assist the business to proactively identify and respond to relevant legislative and regulatory change and advise on operational issues and strategic project work for the organisation.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist in negotiating and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts with third parties from inception/renewal through to execution
• Offer specialist and strategic legal advice to stakeholders on a wide range of matters
