Overview:

We are seeking an organized and dynamic Studio Manager to oversee the daily operations of our ceramic art studio. This role requires a passionate individual with experience in ceramics, excellent management skills, and the ability to foster a creative environment for artists, students, and community members. The Studio Manager will be responsible for managing training facilities, kiln operations, throwing facilities, workshops, classes, and school projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Studio Operations Management:

- Oversee daily studio operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and organized environment for all users.

- Manage scheduling for studio space, kiln usage, and equipment to optimize resource allocation.

- Maintain inventory of supplies and materials, ordering as needed to support classes and workshops.

2. Program Development & Management:

- Develop, implement, and promote ceramic classes and workshops for various skill levels and age groups.

- Collaborate with local schools and community organizations to design and execute educational projects and programs.

- Evaluate and improve existing programs based on feedback and participation rates.

3. Training & Instruction:

- Provide hands-on instruction and guidance to students in throwing, glazing, and firing techniques.

- Train and supervise studio assistants and volunteers, ensuring they understand safety protocols and operational procedures.

- Organize and lead demonstrations, guest artist workshops, and special events to enhance learning opportunities.

4. Kiln and Equipment Management:

- Oversee the operation and maintenance of kilns and other studio equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

- Develop kiln firing schedules and monitor the quality of fired pieces, troubleshooting any issues that arise.

- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of studio equipment to ensure optimal performance.

5. Community Engagement & Marketing:

- Build relationships with local artists, schools, and community members to enhance the studio's visibility and outreach.

- Promote studio events, classes, and workshops through social media, newsletters, and local advertising.

- Organize exhibitions or showcases to display student and community work, fostering a sense of accomplishment and community.

6. Administrative Duties:

- Manage budgets for studio operations, programs, and supplies, ensuring financial sustainability.

- Maintain accurate records of class registrations, payments, and participant attendance.

- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.

Singapore Aquatics (SAQ) is the governing body for the aquatic sports of swimming, water polo, diving and artistic swimming in Singapore as a member World Aquatics (AQUA). The Sports Manager (Water Polo) is responsible for managing and coordinating tasks related to the Singapore Water Polo National Teams and Development Squads, including the daily training environment and overseas training and competitions, as well as supporting the growth and development of the sport ecosystem in Singapore and the region.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of the daily training environment for the Singapore Water Polo National Teams and Development Squads.
• Manage and coordinate all aspects of overseas training and competitions for the Singapore Water Polo National Teams and Development Squads.
• Support the communication and coordination of sport science support for the national training squads.
• Assist in the development and communication of athlete development plans with relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate logistic requirements with internal and external parties as well as relevant authorities for sports events.
• Assist in managing the volunteer and technical official framework.
• Handling enquiries from the public, affiliates and stakeholders.
• Carry out various meeting, administration procedures including organizing meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes.
• Handle the general administration of schemes and the various activities of the Association.
• Recording and reporting of key data from current and historic events.

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Physical Education, Sports Management, sport science, or any sports-related fields.

Reporting to a Sr. Director, Global Trade Compliance within the MKS Legal organization, and collaborating extensively with all regional businesses, this person will be a strategic and hands-on leader within the company’s Global Trade Compliance team, responsible for facilitating the company’s trade activities and enhancing and optimizing the overall trade compliance program within the Asia Pacific (APAC) geographic region.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Subject matter expert in regional regulatory interpretation and the development and implementation of mitigation strategies through projects and key initiatives;
• Serve as the Regional Trade Compliance Council lead and Regional Site Export Coordinator, and foster global compliance coordination;

The project manager is overall responsible for planning and to oversee the entire project from inception to completion by ensuring the necessary co-ordination with various stakeholders.
