Citi Infrastructure Defense, Perimeter Reliability Engineering is a network security subject matter expert team responsible for troubleshooting complex connectivity issues and outages often involving multiple support teams and improving network visibility and resiliency.
Responsibilities:
- Produce high quality documentation, schematics and presentation materials as needed
- Collaborate on initiatives toward reducing security risk for applications and network connectivity with third parties for countries in scope of Complex Operating Geographies (COG)
- Provide individual leadership in the realm of troubleshooting major incidents and problem management
- Troubleshoot complex networconnectivity issues and outages
- Adhere to corporate and Information Security and other functional standards and controls
Qualifications:
- Network knowledge of routing, switching and wide area networking with understanding of industry standard command line syntax, inclusive of modern network virtualization concepts to a professional level proficiency
A hands-on practical familiarity with Network Security capabilities including:
- Firewalls, ACL’s, intrusion detection, proxies, vulnerability scanning, DNS, DDoS mitigation, SIEM platforms
- Experience with scripting preferably in Python
- Knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana
Critical Competencies:
Relevant Certifications: Fortinet, Check Point, Palo Alto firewalls. CISSP or CCNA/CCNP as a plus.
Education Level Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields preferred.
Years of Related Experience: 6+
