Financial Institutions Coverage (FIC) is a global coverage group specialising in the Financial Institutions sector.This is a position in FIC Singapore team.
Main responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain where already established, a deep and reciprocal relationship with financial sponsors at executive and senior management level
• Systematically drive cross-sale across all Banking and GM products
• Identify major sponsor issues/trends and act proactively to best address client needs and provide them with strategic solutions
• Identify and follow origination opportunities across a wide range of banking products, working in full cooperation with relevant product teams and with a view to maximise bank-wide revenues
• Together with Business Lines, produce sophisticated marketing pitches for senior client executives
• Achieve client acceptance that the Senior Banker understands individual issues and can provide solutions for all of his/her business areas and so act as a product neutral fulcrum point between the client and all of BNPP’s product areas.
• Be a point of escalation for the client for major issues and client complaints, and ensure appropriate remediation in a timely manner
• Act as the Senior Business Officer (now called Relationship Manager), with responsibility for the overall KYC/recertification process for all clients under his/her coverage, based on a deep and thorough understanding of all aspects of the client’s organisation and commercial activities
• Work with the Risk department to manage credit lines for clients, utilising credit delegation authority, to ensure credit risk policies and guidelines are meticulously implemented
• Ensure the interests of sponsors are considered and protected at all times and that the CIB Code of Conduct is appropriately applied to all dealings with the client
• In achieving the above:
- Maintain strong client relationship across the whole of the clients’ organisation
- Maintain good working relationships with all BNPP business lines and geographies
- Identify different business opportunities by combining different business lines on complex operations
- Maintain a strong working relationship with Due Diligence Teams, Compliance Department and Onboarding Teams to assist with the resolution of issues
- Act as a problem solver for both client and business lines when required
- Ensure the quality of service provided by the metiers/product is consistent and uniformly high standard (commercial audit)
- Ensure that the interests of the client come first and that the highest levels of professional ethics are maintained at all times
- Identify and promote cross-selling opportunities in line with the clients goals and interests
- Specifically demonstrate momentum on origination of core investment banking business in conjunction with Corporate Finance
• Ensure compliance with Bank’s policies/procedures and regulatory requirements, in particular with regards to the KYC responsibilities and duties, as per relevant policies and procedures, and the summary of responsibilities list attached hereto.

- Maintain a high degree of vigilance across all regulatory, legal and compliance-related aspects of the client relationship – i.e. act as the “first line of defence” for the bank
Specific Qualifications
- University graduate in Finance, Business Administration, Financial Engineering, Economics and other relevant disciplines is preferred.
