Job Purpose/ Overview
Oversee the following two divisions as General Manager.
1. General Manager, Corporate Branding & Strategy
- Establish and drive our company branding in the region, together with the management and by communicating with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage necessary tasks as a core member of strategic project to enhance / reshape our regional strategy and organization.
- Oversee the corporate communications function with Corporate Communication division in Headquarters.
** There are more than 10 group companies in Singapore, Company plays key role as regional hub functions. In addition, the team covers group companies in Southeast Asia & Oceania.
2. General Manager, General Affairs & Admin
- Lead a team of professionals to complete a range of General Affairs/Admin duties.
- Overseeing daily support operations of Company and achieve employees’ satisfaction in Company.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. General Manager, Corporate Branding & Strategy
- Forming regional strategies and organization in Southeast Asia and Oceania region, especially in Singapore, working with senior management and internal/external parties including but not limited to consultant, lawyer, accounting / tax firm etc.
- Designing and implementing efficient and effective organization to proceed the regional business development.
- Lead/chair group companies’ management committee, located in Singapore.
- Develop and manage branding and PR plans,
- Establish and manage internal web portal and/or platform to energize group communication and synergy.
- Establish and manage external websites and social media to maximize our brand value and our business opportunity.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance its visibility ,bland value and reputation.
- Support crisis communications to protect our group reputation.
2. General Manager, General Affairs & Admin (Covering group companies in Singapore)
- This division is responsible for general running of the office and shared office area (i.e. reception, meeting room, lounge & common area etc.) by group companies.
- Be responsible for office safety, facilities and asset management.
- Organize activities or programs, group company events(i.e. year-end party, functions, training session, and receptions.)
- Represent as tenant of the office, and manage tenancy agreement and sub lease with group companies,
- Supervise Vendor management, including but not limited to Office cleaner, reception, pantry vendors, car lease, airline, insurance etc.
- Execute/manage of intra-group companies’ contract management Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned as and when necessary.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Affairs, Communications, Business or other relevant areas.
- At least 20 years of relevant experience
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing teams
- Experience in shipping industry
- Proficient and fluent in both English and Japanese (written and verbal) for communication and decision making with headquarters in Japan.
- Ability to lead Strategy & Planning function
- Demonstrated creative thinking and strong project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility, resourcefulness and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of social media channels and digital content strategies
- Thorough knowledge of current industry trends and public relations practices.
