Job Summary
The Director, FI Advisory and Governance will be a key member of the Financial Institution (“FI”) Risk Advisory & Governance Team and will work closely with the Global Head of FI Risk Advisory & Governance, and the FI Coverage team. The Staff will be involved in support the Business in the development and implementation of Correspondent Banking, Fintech/NPM, Digital Assets Strategy, including its governance, as well as longer term related FI strategic initiatives.
Strategy
· Lead the delivery of various strategic FI initiatives and acting as point of contact for FI in CIB and bank-wide initiatives.
· Support the Business in the development and implementation of Correspondent Banking, Fintech/NPM, Digital Assets Strategy in support of adherence to the SCB Policy and Regulatory landscape.
· Drive improvement and efficiency in various processes impacting the FI business as well as providing business insight into Standards and Policies impacting the Business.
Business
· Act as a key individual in driving / protecting / monitoring of FI business including MI and risk events to drive a clear understanding and oversight of the risks of the business and bank’s policy and procedure with a strong focus on Risk: Financial Crime (AML /CTF, Sanctions), Credit and Regulatory Compliance.
· Work closely with key stakeholders to understand segment priorities and track deliverables.
· Act as the bridge between Compliance, business & operational functions and Transaction Banking (TB) product team on matters pertaining to Risks in Correspondent Banking, Fintech and Digital Assets.
· Understanding the risk and compliance requirements, comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Groups policies, procedures, strategy and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters within the FI Business.
· Engage in FI Advisory work and Group led initiatives and projects.
· Support and act as the SPOC for Audits and Assurance reviews of the FI Business

· Ensure Committee standards adhere to the Committee Governance Standard (CGS) as stated in the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF).
· Lead the regular review of existing processes to identify challenges and opportunities for improvement.
· Review the Correspondent Banking and Fintech/NPM, Digital Assets Control Environment Assessment periodically/as required.

· Ensure that key risk issues and concerns are escalated to Group/governance committees and centrally through the FI matrix, as appropriate.
· Responsible for risk and issue resolution across initiatives.
· Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Risk Management
· Ensure that key risk issues and concerns are escalated to Group/governance committees and centrally through the FI matrix, as appropriate.

Governance
· Support internal audits and regulatory exams to address, remediate and mitigate high risk clients, high risk issues impacting at the portfolio level.
· Support the facilitation and fulfilment of requirements as a result of external and internal exams.
· Develop, track and follow-up on issues, action plans and escalation reports stemming from AML-related governance to ensure timely response and action.
· Monitoring operational effectiveness and provide overall oversight of financial crime risk related responsibilities for the FI business.

Our Ideal Candidate
· Bachelor’s degree required with advance education preferred.
· 7+ years of experience with Financial Institution (FI) Correspondent banking clients such as Banks, Brokers, Investors, Insurance, Public Sector, etc.
· Relevant Governance, Business Management, Project/Change Management skills essential.
· Experience in Transaction Banking Product Management, Wholesale Banking Operations and Transaction Banking Sales or Corporate Banking.
· Strong knowledge of Transaction Banking products.
· Experience of and working with Operational and/or Compliance Risk and the wider risk management frameworks.
· Working knowledge of AML and Sanctions regulation and expectations.
