As the Market Merchandiser for Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines, you will be the expert in the markets and drive profitable growth by managing a locally relevant commercial plan in partnership with the Area and Regional Merchandising Teams. You will provide input regarding market and customer knowledge and ensure that sales are maximized. You will report to the Regional Head of Merchandising.
What you will do:
•Drive selling and profitable net growth for your market through quantified goals, identifying selling opportunities and future potentials
•Create and execute allocation strategies that will secure profitability and optimal composition of stock for your market, producing store allocation plans each season for each store segment
•Responsible for the reduction cost of your market, in order to optimise the effect of reductions through sale and activities
•Act on sales opportunities/threats for your market with Area Teams, communicating them to the Supply Chain Merchandiser and the Regional Concept Merchandiser
•Liaise with Merchandising Team regarding intake, ranging, and allocations
•Work with the Visual Merchandising Team to potentialize local activity.
•Supply your market organisation with commercial focuses in order to set the right priorities to drive stock, both short and long term
•Coach Store Teams together with the Area Team on commercial focuses
•Influence Area Controllers to ensure an optimal balance between selling and stock levels on all store segments
•Provide the Regional Merchandise Team with your market/customer knowledge as well as market input regarding expectations and the price they are willing to pay
•Set and follow up on the commercial plan for your market and be an expert in your scope, reviewing periodically and setting quantified improvements for next year as well as adapting the regional commercial beliefs to local needs
•Report weekly, monthly, and seasonal performance, potentializing sales opportunities by store
•Attend trade meetings and present updates on trade, highlighting over and under performance and actions to take
