OVERALL, JOB PURPOSE:
Review of Welding procedure, NDT procedures technical query /deviations, and any ad hoc instruction by Head of Department/Project Quality Manager.
Responsibilities:
· Reviews / Verifies / Approves QA/ QC Procedures submitted by fabricator and vendors.
· Achieve compliance to project/corporate specifications.
· Understand the project procedures / Specifications.
· Industrial codes and Standards. Technical and Training Skills.
· Preparation of Gap analysis report to compare existing corporate practice Vs Client requirements.
· To verify deviation to Company corporate requirements Vs Client section. Analyze cost/Time estimation for the gap identified.
· Understand the Corporate procedures / Specifications. Industrial Codes and Standards. Technical skill to interpret various industrial Standards.
· Raise observation report / Non-conformance report/punch list when necessary for work not meeting the applicable requirements and assist in resolving them
· Evaluate Quality system meets requirements and resolve Observations or Non-conformities.
· Report writing skills ISO Audit training certification. Technical skills. Relevant Site working knowledge/skill. Problem-solving skills
· Fabricators/Vendors / Suppliers submits Technical Query/Deviation if they could not meet Project Specification
· Achieve compliance with project/corporate specifications without compromising Product/Project Quality
· Application of relevant codes, standards, and of class requirements. Working Knowledge of various industrial codes and Standard
· Liaises, where required, with the Construction team, Certification Authority, and client inspectors.
· Based on past project lessons make necessary changes in Company Corporate/Project Specifications.
· Reduce maintained cost, improve operation efficiency, and improve the life cycle of the Product
· Relevant process and product knowledge. Implementation of best Industrial practice
· Capable to manage or develop solutions to non-recurring problems by analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating various precedents and data
· Prepare new project specifications and implement better or latest inspection and testing technology.
· Update skills and knowledge with training institutes (TWI/NACE) and participate in industrial seminars
· Review project-related documents e.g. RFQ to provide quality inputs
· Achieve compliance with project/corporate specifications without compromising Product/Project quality.
· Application of relevant codes, standards, and of class requirements. Working Knowledge of various industrial codes and Standard
· Conduct training thru IKS sessions for Welding/NDT to project team
· Liaise with the latest welding Equipment manufacturers and consumable suppliers to new welding methods/processes to satisfy stringent client requirements
· Liaise with the latest NDT equipment manufacturers and relevant industrial teams for implementation of new NDT methods /Techniques to avoid cost /time and to get an accurate interpretation of material /weld quality
· Reduce time and cost. Improve weld quality
· Reduce time and cost. Improve scanning and testing techniques.
Qualification:
· Degree or Diploma in Engineering
· For Senior Quality Engineer (welding) IWE - International Welding Engineer Certification or Equivalent
· For Senior Quality Engineer (NDT) – ASNT/PCN Level 3 in minimum 3 methods-UT Method is mandatory
· Minimum 5 years of experience
· Working knowledge of equipment functions
