• Responsible for negotiations for best possible cost service guarantee and develop “win-win” strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers
• Drive Cost Reduction thru commercial and technical lever
• Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions
• Analyse industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities
• Maintain and develop supplier relationships to meet company goals
• Manage and collaborate New Product Realization (NPR) Project with R&D in cost optimization and vendor selection
• Follow the workplace safety and health system, safe work procedures or safety rules implemented at the workplace.

Experience

• At least 3 years strategic sourcing/ purchasing experience along with relevant operations/supply chain experience
• Strong preference for some international sourcing experience
• Experienced in Sheetmetal ~ Stamping, pressing, laser, turret, NC bending. Precision Machining ~ turned parts, lathe, milling. Surface finishes ~ painted, plating, heat treatments
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings/ specifications
• Knowledge of the legal terminology and language related to supplier and/or vendor agreements and contracts
• BOM Cost Management and Part/Product Costing analysis
• Ability to manage multiple projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful implementation of commodity strategies.
• Ability to analyse and make sense out of data /dashboard
• Advanced systems skills and working knowledge of ERP systems, MS Office, with advanced Excel knowledge

Qualifications

• Min diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Supply Chain Management

• Availability to travel oversea as needed

Job Description

• Respond to custome enquiries on product availability and pricing enquiries
• Process all orders received and coordinating of shipments both Singapore and overseas
• Perform shipment coordination with Freight forwarding agents for Inbound and Outbound Logistic
• Verify products and pricing accuracy, endorse and acknowledge receipt of orders
• Data entry of all orders into system with accuracy by the stipulated order cut-off time
• Monitor product completion and notify customers of ECD (estimated completion dates); plan for shipment arrangements and continuously monitoring all back orders
• Plan and estimate the monthly shipments planned for reporting to the hierarchy to compute estimated monthly sales volume
• Coordinate with customers and respective personnel from Production / Logistics / Warehousing / Procurement personnel on export shipments or self-collection or delivery of orders
• Generate and check all shipping documents (Invoices, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificates of Origin, Certificates of Analysis, Fumigation/Packing Declaration, Form D, etc.)
• Collate all shipping documents and dispatch to consignees
• Attend to customer complaints and coordinate feedback and investigation findings
• Maintain strong business relations and close contact with customers
• Provide back up support in absence of colleagues in the team
• Liaise with various departments on customers’ enquiries on products
• Maintain records and references for internal and external audits
• Participate in maintenance of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2000)
• Participate in maintenance of HSE Management Systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001)
• IATF 16949 awareness
• Participate in ad hoc projects related to Customer Service Team
