Job Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.

• Proven track record of successful sales experience in the electronic or optical sensing industry, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales management role.

The Senior Manager Accounting – Emerging Markets is responsible for all Accounting activities taking place throughout Emerging Markets. The Senior Manager Accounting plays a strategic role in supporting the Assistant Controller & Regional Controller, Emerging Markets in the overall controllership organisation for the region which has revenue of circa USD $1Billion, and supporting around 100 accounting and compliance roles throughout the region.

• Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation for the Company entities
• Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes.
• Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
• Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
• Interacts at all levels and with budget owners or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient and accurate month-end close and all internal management and financial reporting through annual report
• Make recommendations for changes as needed and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and establishes the proper techniques to discover and prevent fraud
• Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns

• Lead or participate in special improvement projects or assignments within Finance area.
• Active participant/ presenter at regional meetings to finance and non-finance audiences, including strong powerpoint preparation and presentation skills
• Direct regional process improvement initiatives, working closely together with the Regional Accounting Leaders and Global and Regional Business Process Owners to drive standardization and harmonization of processes.
• Ensuring overall control environment for the region is designed and operating effectively and supporting regional accounting teams with their internal control assessment, as needed. Liaise with the internal audit group and support on-going internal audits.
• Lead and drive ad-hoc accounting projects and liaise with other regional accounting leaders. Work together with regional accounting teams and provide guidance to ensure processes are performed in an efficient manner.
• Close interaction and collaboration with the GBS implementation team. Support and provide guidance during GBS roll-out.
• Assist with ad hoc tasks for the Assistant Controller, Emerging Markets, as needed.

Job Description

• Ensure timely submission of the financial year end/monthly’s accounts.
• Monitor closely the account closing activities and provide guidance to staff when necessary.
• Perform month-end analytical review and review accounting schedules.
• Support in the preparation of GST and revenue reconciliation and ensure timely submission of quarterly GST to IRAS
• Responsible for monthly/year-end income and deferred tax provision computation
• Support in the preparation of property tax and port license fee computations and ensure timely submission of the audited report and requested information to the relevant authority
• Ensure accounting transactions are recorded in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standard (SFRS) and accounting principles (Matching, Prudence & etc)
• Responsible for the timely preparation and completion of the annual report and ensuring compliance with Financial Reporting Standards
• Support in the preparation of budget and forecast related to Finance, subsidiaries and Chief Executive office
• Ensure timely submission of Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) financial statement for annual filing
• Furnish financial information to department of statistics and other government bodies
• Initiate process improvements for proper internal controls
• Managing intercompany reconciliation

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or reputable audit firm. Audit experience will be advantageous.
• Certified Accountant preferrable
• A self-starter, with good problem-solving skills and attention to details
• Ability to communicate with various levels of management, with demonstrated track record on collaboration
• Strong Knowledge of FRS, tax and experience working with Oracle applications

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Act as technical expert in coordinating Singapore sales & marketing’s budget, forecast, reporting and daily communication with Japan Headquarter.

2. Responsible to obtain technical support and product specification from Japan Headquarter relating to new product orders.

3. In-charge of drafting and preparing of documentation to obtain approval from senior management in Japan Headquarter for matter in relating to Returns on Investment of new product orders.

4. Responsible to gather materials, data, information in the new investments/orders including finding, background research and justification of investments.

5. Acting as a coordinator to enhance the communication flow between Japan Headquarter and Singapore office which lead to efficiency and effectiveness of sales & marketing activity as a whole.

6. Drafting and preparing sales & marketing presentation material, proposal and contract.

8. Manage corporate customers account (especially Japanese customers).

Requirements:

1. Degree in any discipline with 1 to 5 years of working experience in sales & marketing of electronic components preferably in integrated circuit leadframe in the semi-conductor industry.

2. Able to read/write Japanese language in business level to liaise with Japanese speaking affiliate company and vendors (please specify the JLPT level when applying).
