JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for managing and ensuring that all regional logistics services and capabilities needed to support Jabilβs operations and Customer programs are fully efficient and effective. This position is a member of the global logistics team and participates in formulating global and regional logistics strategy. Success in this position requires experience in deep and broad logistics knowledge, skill sets and practicing experience; as well as team management, managing multiple projects simultaneously, implementing and driving change, detail orientation, strong analytical skills, market industry knowledge, customer focus and sound judgment. The person in this position must have strong team leadership, facilitation and communication skills and an ability to work in a matrix organization and under constant tight /compressed time lines environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Β· Provide in region logistics leadership for all Jabil logistics and trade compliance operations, guidance and strategy
Β· Formulate logistics strategy in support of business unit and site requirements.
Β· Manage, coach and mentor regional logistics team and site logistics managers.
Β· Provide guidance and direction to carrier mangers in regional carrier selection and negotiations.
Β· Manage; multi task and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
Β· Work in coordination with the other Regional Managers in formulating strategy and capabilities to
provide logistics support for cross regional operations.
Β· Develop and drive productivity initiatives for both in region and cross region operations.
Β· Ensure achieving and delivering regional logistics performances/KPIs
Β· Support customer sales initiatives and customer accounts.
Β· Lead dedicated customer logistics activity.
Β· Drive team productivity.
Β· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Β· Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry (all transportation and
inter-modal logistics modes as well as Contract /WH-Hubbing Logistics)
Β· Carrier and 3PL management experience
Β· Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable companyβs business goals and
objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
Β· Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine
optimum company footprint.
Β· Strong knowledge of regional direct and indirect taxes as well as regional customs regimes.
Β· Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and
managing continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
Β· Knowledge and experience in other key commercial/business elements; including general legal framework of business; contract of affreightment; commercial/INCO terms; regionβs in - countries logistics bond zones and schemes, will be highly desirable
Β· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Β· Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize teamβs workload
Β· Strong and convincing communication & articulation skills.
Β· Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Β· Bachelorβs degree required, Post Graduate degree in SCM/Logistics will be preferable
Β· Plus 7 - 10 years of significant international and regional logistics experience.
Β· Demonstrated high performance orientation, strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, negotiating ability, sound judgment and communication skills.
Β· Strong Project management and leadership skills.
Β· Must be able to influence senior management through well formulated business presentations.
Β· Must have ability and willingness to work and lead focused team within a matrix organization.
Β· Proficiency in Mandarin skills preferred as the successful person will need to liaise with Mandarin speaking counterparts.
Β· Agile, resilient and flexible work ethos/mind-set
Β· Ability for business travel when required.
