Responsibilities

1) To ensure system design and shop drawing submissions are in accordance to specifications.

2) Plan and monitor all system design and shop drawing submissions to ensure submissions are accurate and on schedule.

3) To analyze technical specifications and develop concept drawings, system designs, shop drawings and fabrication drawings and ensure compliance to specifications.

4) Assist in setting up systems and processes to improve the standards and efficiency of the Technical Department.

5) Ensure the design process complies with all legislations, standards and codes of practice where appropriate.

6) To collaborate with the Technical and the Project team to develop and implement effective design strategies.

7) Attend sales, technical and Project meetings when required.

Andy Fisher Workshop Pte Ltd (AFW) is a Singapore-based design consultancy offering integrated architectural and interior design services across SE Asia and world. We are seeking applicants with proven experience especially in hospitality, residential, high-end residential hospitality, commercial or mixed-use projects, for the role of Designer in our growing studio.

The Role:

• Design and follow through projects from conception to completion, with a focus on developing concepts into detailed design documentation sets.
• Work as a part of a team of designers to deliver design presentations and technical packages within given timelines.
• Work closely together and report to senior management.
• Coordinate and communicate with clients and consultants.
• Assist with project management and administrative tasks relating to the project.

Role Requirements:

• Demonstrate minimum 7 years of strong design and relevant experience.
• Excellent communicator – both graphically and verbally.
• Ability to multi-task and meet given deadlines.
• A good team player – communicative, self-motivated to grow knowledge, willing to take initiative, open minded and positive learning attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant educational qualifications (degree/diplomas/professional accreditation).
• Excellence in AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3D and presentation software. BIM experience is a plus.
