Job Purpose

You will be a key member responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process and ensuring that it is optimized to maximise efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Machine Shop Manager

This is a critical role which requires a strong technical background in managing a highly proficient machine shop team including the tool crib operations. This position has the overall responsibility for machine shop output in terms of safety, quality and on time deliveries. This position is also responsible for managing the supervisor and programing teams including design of tooling, fixtures, and machining sequence for complex features. The role also supports the sales teams by providing the estimation of machining hours and best optimized solution.

Project Introduction: Proper management and documentation of research data following the life cycle model is a critical aspect of good scientific practice that can lead to increased confidence in research findings, collaboration and data reuse. This project aims to promote the effective management of research data by supporting research teams in 1) documenting key data workflows from planning through collection and preservation to sharing and reuse; 2) increasing discoverability and visualization of metadata information of research data; 3) establishing an RDM toolkit comprising guides, metadata templates, and data curation SOPs tailored for our researchers.

Requirements:

Education Qualifications:

• Minimum Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Information/Library Science (preferred) or related Social Science disciplines.
• Other Education Considerations: Courses or certifications in research data management, data curation, or related areas are a plus.

Skills/Knowledge:

• Research Data Management Skills: Familiarity with research lifecycle, understanding of RDM principles, including data preservation, access, and re-use.
