Purpose of the Role

As part of the System Integration (SI) Team of a multi-million railway turnkey project the SI Engineer will be instrumental in the successful delivery of a complete upgraded Automated People Mover (APM) system. You will be working with our Cloud Consulting & Sales team to evaluate the requirements and determine actionable tasks, estimates and provide efforts for business solution build and architecture in cloud-based technologies including Application & Infrastructure modernisation, APIs, BigQuery, AI/Machine Learning solutions (Dialogflow, AutoML, Tensorflow etc.).

Responsibilities:

- A skilled engineer to perform thermo-mechanical simulations for IC package development in the early design stage, with a focus on DFR/DFM/DFT.

- The ideal candidate will be able to conduct virtual DOE for package design optimization, material selection, and DFMEA.

- Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for creating virtual design guidelines for various package platforms and guiding test vehicle development to improve simulation correlation to empirical data and failure mechanism life prediction.

- Coordination with suppliers, external/internal customers, and suppliers for material characterization will also be required.

Requirements:

- A highly qualified engineer with a Bachelor's/Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical/Material Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.

- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in thermal mechanical modeling for IC package development, with a good knowledge of FEA modeling and simulation.

- Hands-on experience with software such as Ansys, Abaqus, etc. is required.

- The engineer should have a good understanding of semiconductor packaging assembly processes, materials, and technology.

- Able to work in a team environment and interact with other engineers to define and implement numerical and lab experiments for feasibility and validation of concepts and solutions to support new package technology development.

- Experience with 3D CAD models is an added advantage.

Position Overview:

Halo Microelectronics, a developer of Analog and Mixed Signal Intergrated Circuits enabling energy-efficient smart systems is looking for experienced Layout Engineer to join the Singapore Design Team.

Responsibilties:

- Work closely with Design Team from chip planning to tap-out.

- Discuss with IC designers on the preferred device placement, device matching requirements, ESD and signal routing concerns.

- Configure foundry DRC/LVS rules and perform physical verification on completed layout such as DRC, LVS, ERC, Antenna, Density, ESD, LUP, EM, IR, etc.

- Run layout parasitic extraction in preparation for postlayout simulation and optimization.

- Ensure on-time delivery and high quality of layout design.

Qualifications:

- Diploma / Degree in Electronics Engineer or equivalent.

- Must have strong knowledge in analog layout verification flow (i.e. DRC, ERC, LVS, ANT etc) and usage of CAD layout verification tools such as Cadence, Mentor Graphics tools.

- Highly motivated, able to work independently and demonstrates strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

- Good team player.
