RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proudly represent the company in all areas, present all information regarding global service possibilities and new products in our offer
• Perform inspection and provide maintenance of all Marine Fire Safety products (fixed and portable Fire systems, portable equipment)
• Reporting any conditions that negatively impact the quality of the services to the supervisor
• Reporting any delays in the service schedule to the supervisor
• Recording the correct usage of spare parts from inventory
• Prepares required paperwork for certificates
• Provide technical assistance as needed to Service Planner
• Recording the correct usage of spare parts from inventory
• Inspect and maintenance of Company property (equipmentand tools)

Additional task include:

• Assist other departments when manpower requirements warrant this and asdesignated by your supervisor
• Give input to your supervisor on improvement of ourservice process when you become aware of such opportunities
• Keeping the company’s premises in a clean and presentable condition, which includes cleaning up the workspace and storage areas (inside and outside thebuilding) and depositing waste in the appropriate dumpster
• Condemn and dispose of MFS items as instructed by yoursupervisor

We are looking for a talented Service Technician to join our team based in Tuas, Singapore. This is an Onsite role reporting to the Service operation Manager. This role will also require travelling within Singapore. Reporting to the Service Supervisor, this role provides support for all Cummins products, primarily in Automotive, Industrial and Marine applications, in a combination of workshop and field work. You will respond to engine breakdowns and provide technical analysis of failure, warranty support and troubleshooting engineering issues. Previous experience in a similar Service role, and knowledge of High-Speed Diesel engines, is essential.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Responsibilities:

· Diagnoses and completes repairs to engines at the customer’s site.

· Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.

· Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.

· Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components in the field.

· Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.

· Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

· Electronic Service Tool Application -Identifies the suite of available hardware and software tools required for a service event; utilizes the appropriate electronic tool set to maintain the product or diagnose and troubleshoot an issue; interprets electronic tool results or recommendations to determine next steps for service resolution.

· Product Repair and Maintenance -Repairs and maintains mechanical/electrical products following guidelines, using required tools within standard repair time to ensure a quality repair; disassembles and assembles engines or power generators following guidelines, using required tools to ensure a clean and organized environment; inspects and replaces parts and components following re-use guidelines to minimize customers cost of ownership; performs progressive damage check following guidelines to restore to pre-failure condition.

· Engine Systems Interactions -Interprets and analyses the interactions of internal and external electrical and mechanical systems (exhaust, heating, cooling, fuel systems, driveline, aftertreatment, controls, sensors, etc.) by applying tools, service publications (Cummins, Original Equipment Manufacturer) and taking measurements to efficiently and correctly diagnose and repair.

· Health and Safety Fundamentals -Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviours by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

· Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

· Locally valid driving permit

· This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

· Basic level field service work experience

. Good to have work background either mechanical or electrical or both.

· At least 3 years relevant work experience preferred.

· Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

· Customer service experience

· Preferably with Singapore Class 3 or above driving license.

· Able to write and speak in English language.

· No cross-border relocation support provided.
