The job

In the beginning of your employment you will travel to our HQ and production in Denmark, where you will undergo in-house training in our products, both theoretical and practical. Here after you will be sent on service visits on vessels around the world.

Your primary tasks will be:

• Service jobs in fields of mechanics and electronics (performing installations etc.).

• Testing existing electrical projects.

• Relevant hands on experience and a show of craftmanship is a must for this position.

You have to be prepared on traveling approx. 130 days a year and need to be able to travel on short notice, also on public holidays, to implement service tasks on vessels which are either sailing, in port or in dock.

Your profile

We imagine that you have a background as marine engineer, preferable with sailing, electrical knowledge and mechanical experience. You are used to working according to instructions and diagram-drawings. It will be an advantage if you already have experience in travel work.

You are comfortable with working alone on service jobs, far away from your everyday life, but also manage to take part in team work, when more colleagues are on the same job. You must possess a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience on installation, service job, electrical knowledge, mechanical experience, etc. You have been or used to work in vessel engine room environment and odd hours. The Global Compliance Management Services - Centre of Excellence (CoE) is seeking to fill a full-time role of senior tax PMO. The candidate should have tax background and experience on the asset management industry. Candidates for this position will be capable of understanding technology at an intermediate level and leading internal projects (Medium to large) from conception through to the successful delivery of the project. The role will work within the Global Tax Compliance and Transformation team at the direction of the GCMS CoE or their delegate based in Singapore. The role is designed to afford the right candidate with the opportunity to learn many facets of the Tax business and engage internally and externally with clients. The breath of the role will also require someone with the ability to easily adapt to the ever-changing tax environment and to be flexible in the work required by the role. KPMG’s Global Tax Compliance and Transformation team is specifically designed to help clients achieve cost-efficiencies and gain better process control and visibility. The team has been established to support the growth of KPMG’s tax compliance service offerings. The aim of the team is to drive the implementation of internal and external initiatives within the Global Tax Compliance and Tax Transformation arena and ensure high quality on-going services are provided to several our clients. As part of the transformation team, this role will support 5 main strategic goals:

1. The first goal will be to support the building / development of the internal operational processes. These internal projects will be critical to developing the foundation and the integrity of the services which can be delivered.
2. The second goal is to lead and implement the transition initiatives for new clients in various countries and regions. Should possess skills to be able to understand the accounting/tax issues, implementation of technology solutions and other day to day issues. Tax acumen would be favorably considered.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills are a must. This person must be a team player and highly organized, as they will work internally and externally across many dimensions of the business. Important to have good listening skills to understand other points of view, and to be able to articulate these to other parties.
