Job Description
- Lead engineering team on various work streams to ensure smooth operations of systems and production
- Ensure the team adheres to strict timelines set and deliver
- Lead and perform controlled tests on various feed stock types
- Lead studies on outputs by systems – i.e. quality of syngas and biochar, energy regeneration etc.
- Lead system design and optimization, and budgeting
- Lead compliance with local and international regulations
- Lead and review Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP) and Hazard Identification Study (HAZID) in all system implementations
- Responsible for Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and operation manuals
- Support system installations and operations as required
- Pioneer R&D efforts
- Support other tasks as directed by the management
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Candidates with >5 years of relevant experience preferred
- Relevant experience in boilers, distillation columns, gas routing preferred
- Knowledge in pyrolysis, syngas and biochar (good to have)
- Hands-on personality, and able to work on the ground operating/fixing the systems
- Good knowledge on simulation using Aspen HYSYS
- Experience setting up or running a plant will be preferred
- Comfortable working in Tuas and Joo Koon areas

- Diligent, self-motivated and a collaborative team player
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Good Project management, Microsoft Excel statistical function and reporting.
- Able to lead the design of experiments (DOEs) and ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information
- Possibility of travel may arise
