2. Technical Problem Solving:These engineers are responsible for resolving technical issues related to rolling stock. They troubleshoot defects, conduct failure analyses, and develop engineering solutions.
   Whether it’s improving reliability, addressing performance problems, or enhancing safety features, rolling stock engineers work behind the scenes to keep trains running smoothly.
   
3. Integration and Modification:Rolling stock engineers supervise the installation and integration of various systems and subsystems within rail vehicles. This includes electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
   When modifications or upgrades are needed, they ensure seamless integration while maintaining safety and compliance.
   
4. Validation and Verification:Before a train hits the tracks, rolling stock engineers validate and verify its performance. They conduct rigorous testing to ensure that all components function as intended.

Job Description:

• Perform welding repair and assembly of aircraft components with gas tungsten arc welding/ tungsten inert gas processes
• Use measuring instruments such as gauge blocks, height gauges, dial indicators and callipers to examine components
• Perform various jobs such as cutting, grinding, sheet metal and assembly works with hand or power tools which include portable riveting guns, squeezers, abrasive tools and torque wrenches
• Meet repair production schedule and delivery requirements
• Suggest new tooling design and modification to existing tooling when required
• Participate in cost control initiatives and continuous improvement projects/ events
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• NITEC or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in welding aircraft alloy material or in tungsten inert gas/ gas tungsten arc welding. On the job training will be provided for candidates who does not possess relevant working experience.
• Able to read and follow Repair/OEM specifications
• Able to perform rotating shift work, and support overtime, if required
• Open to cross-training and multi-tasking

Responsibilties:

• Responsible for set up and operate CNC & NC Machine according to production schedule and meet all specification requirement
• Perform simple trouble shooting, basic daily machine maintenance and maintaining 6S housekeeping
• Read, interpret & execute various machining works using CNC and NC vertical/ horizontal lathe involving milling, turning and grinding per the engine manual requirements
• Meet tight and demanding repair production schedule & delivery requirements
• Suggest new tooling design & modification to existing tooling when required
• Participate in cost control initiatives & continuous improvement projects/ events
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirement:

• Minimum NITEC or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in aviation repair involving CNC & conventional machining (milling, turning and grinding)
• Able to work rotating shifts
• Proactive to cross-training and multi-tasking
• On the job training will be provided

Job Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, M&E Engineering or related fields
• Minimum 1 year experience as QS
• Able to perform under tight schedules and deadlines with minimum supervision
• Working hours: 0830 - 1800 (Mon - Fri)
