Position Overview:
As the Group's CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the organization. Reporting directly to the Chairman and Chief Corporate Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company which include, but arenāt limited to, ensuring revenues and expenses stay in balance, overseeing FP&A (financial planning & analysis) functions, making recommendations on mergers and acquisitions, working with department heads to analyze financial data and craft budgets, attesting to the accuracy of reports and consulting the Board of Directors on the Group's strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with its overall business objectives.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for financial optimization, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including the board of directors and investors.
- Analyze financial performance, trends, and variances, and present actionable insights to drive informed business decisions.
Risk Management and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements, both locally and internationally.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks and safeguard company assets.
Treasury and Cash Management
- Manage the company's liquidity and cash flow to support operational needs and investment opportunities.
- Monitor and optimize working capital and financing arrangements to enhance financial flexibility.
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Evaluate Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) opportunities to create shareholder value.
- Manage the risks of the whole M&A process.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Provide guidance and development opportunities to enhance the team's skills and capabilities.
- Ensure timely compliance to all statutory (including SGX), accounting, tax reporting and disclosure requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration; MBA or CPA designation preferred.
- Capacity as a CFO / VP of Finance / Controller in a Singapore public-listed company, with exposure to international operations.
- Strong technical skills and understanding of financial and accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of building and managing high-performing finance teams.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, as well as good MS Excel skills.
- High level of integrity, ethics, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
