The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) seeks a Project Officer in the areas of community engagement and event management.

The successful candidate will be part of the EOS Community Engagement Office, and will collaborate with researchers from the ‘Integrating Volcano and Earthquake Science and Technology (InVEST) in Southeast Asia’ project, a 5-year project that aims to provide a holistic understanding of regional tectonics, volcanoes, the linkages between the two, and their cascading hazards and impacts in Singapore and Southeast Asia. The Sales Executive will promote the Company’s assets for rental and sales and will be accountable for the entire sales process. A leading 3PL logistics company is looking for 2 Freight and Forwarding Executives to:

(Import)

• Interact with clients to handle both import and export shipments, ensuring the prompt transmission of crucial operational information
• Adhere to customers' requirements and proactively address and resolve any issues;
• Ensure that all shipping activities are executed accurately, on time, and in compliance with the relevant regulations and requirements
• Other duties as assigned

(Export)

• Manage daily operations, including overseeing shipments, tracking, and resolving any issues that may arise
• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate information and addressing any concerns or complaints
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience
• Assist in handling RFQ (Request for Quotation) and spot quotes
• Manage problems, answer general inquiries and complaints for both local and overseas
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma Certificate and above
• With supervisory experience, able to handle NVOCC shipment operation and documents and Tradenet
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred in a Warehouse/Logistic industry
• Able to commit to overtime as and when required

NIE invites applications for the Executive position in the Physical Education & Sports Science Academic Group (PESS AG). This is a 2-year contract post.

Responsibilities

• Administration of the Sport Science & Management undergraduate programme, including examinations, coordinating programme logistics, and course scheduling.
• Supporting the Programme Leader in implementing, delivering, and evaluating programme activities, ensuring compliance with university policies.
• Administration of examination matters relating to the PESS Initial Teacher Preparation programmes.
• Administration of part-time lecturers including checking of time entries, and onboarding procedures.
• Administration of Student Feedback on Teaching (SFT).
• Administration of Physical Proficiency Test (PPT).
• Administration of alumni matters.
• Administration of school attachment matters.
• Other duties may include but are not limited to events management, dispatch duty, sports facilities office duty, attending to enquiries at the General Office counter, putting up maintenance requests, etc.
• Perform other duties assigned by PESS management.

Requirements

• A Polytechnic Diploma, preferably in Business Administration.
• Relevant work experience in programme administration and student support, preferably in an institute of higher learning, will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently and as a team player under pressure.
• Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge in web design and content marketing in social media will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform development activities related to additive manufacturing of a multimaterial magnetic core
• Prepare technical reports, journal papers and liaise with collaborators
• Collaborate with industrial partners to commercialize and spin out technology platforms
• Research design and deploy industrial demonstrator
• Manage and deliver project KPIs and objectives
• Ensure milestone delivery according to plan/schedule, manage/control project risks & mitigating actions
• Prepare/consolidate periodic reports (finance, technical) as required
• Manage project documentation, knowledge/data capture and reporting
• Manage logistical issues and laboratory inventory
• Ensure compliance with health and safety in all aspects of the research work

Job Requirements:

• Minimally Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering or closely related discipline
• Strong expertise in relevant knowledge domains and familiar with processing, characterization and property evaluation of magnetic materials
• Knowledge of synthesis, characterization and property evaluation of high-performance materials
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies
• Energetic and self-motivated
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work in a diverse, interdisciplinary research environment
• Experience in schedule and resource planning
• Ability to work well with multiple competing priorities, manage projects and meet deadlines
