WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE

Organization

As part of the Finance & Operations Team, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer APAC. You will collaborate to the fulfillment of the missions of the department and may be involved in projects spanning multiple groups across commercial functions and staff.

Role

• Responsible for the financial accounting planning and analysis of entities within APAC scope
• Define business requirements with management to build a framework for cost reporting

Main activities

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline/ Qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CPA)
• 2-5 years working experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
• Strong financial accounting fundamentals and reporting knowledge
• Proficient in both English and French language, both written and spoken (Proficiency in French languague is essential, as the role will be required to deal with stakeholders in French)

Technical skills

Department overview:

The Product Control team is part of the wider Global Middle Office team that plays an important role within Finance. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be the key finance lead to manage the full spectrum of finance controllership activities whilst being supported by teams across Singapore, Malaysia and China. You will provide meaningful insights on business performance and advise on ways to improve profitability whilst reducing cost. You will drive effective treasury strategies to optimise cash flow, minimise FX exposure and maintain strong banking relationships. You take interest in understanding the operations so as to drive best practices in ensuring a robust finance framework and digitalise processes to improve efficiencies. You will also look to identify a suitable ERP system and lead the implementation process.

skills and experience required

You should ideally be Degree qualified or equivalent with at least 12 years of relevant experience within the manufacturing industry, preferably in a small-medium sized set up. Strong mandarin proficiency will be required given their business in China where documentations are in mandarin alongside stakeholders who can only converse in Mandarin. You are hands on and steadfast in influencing positive changes within the business. You are comfortable working in the West and travel occasionally for work.
