The Lead Performance Engineer will report to Manager, Performance Engineering and will drive leadership towards the overall Performance Field Testing strategy and provide customer catered performance management support through the lifecycle of key GE customers under long term service agreements.

Essential Functions

In this role the candidate will be responsible for executing thermal guarantees of the assigned region portfolio of MYA contracts. The candidate will strategize and coordinate MYA performance testing, interact with internal teams and customers on technical issues, drive thermal performance improvement utilizing historical data and analytics, and lead productivity initiatives. In addition you will:

• Develop short term and long term goals to address operational and testing issues that impact thermal testing cost and execution.
• Develop and execute strategies geared towards maximizing thermal contract profitability.
• Work closely with the regional operations, productivity, and outage teams during outage pre-planning to align and include thermal testing activities and performance improvement recommendations; follow through in implementation and ensure impact of inaction is understood by all stakeholders
• Review MYA contracts to ensure testing procedures and practices are aligned to contract requirements and provide feedback to ITO as necessary
• Drive adoption, successful execution, and continuous improvement of remote performance testing
• Support the commissioning process for new units with MYA thermal guarantees, in order to fulfill the MYA requirements.
• Manage the overall fulfillment of MYA thermal performance testing in assigned region, leveraging various organizations within Power Services
• Work with cross functional teams to ensure significant lead time for planning and appropriate visibility to performance test backlog
• Support technical review and approve test data, calculations, procedures and reports.
• Provide the business with accurate technical assumptions in commercial and business trade-off discussions for contract renegotiations, new deal negotiations and contract amendments.
• Provide support to performance ER cases on assigned portfolio of units.
• Lead RCA’s and diagnostic efforts on assigned portfolio of units to ensure consistent message to external customers.
• Support tool creation and development initiatives within the group
• Support meetings at customer sites in the assigned region as needed

Desired Characteristics:

• Candidate MUST have experience that would demonstrate technical knowledge and understanding of Gas Turbine, Combined Cycle and Steam Turbine Thermodynamics

Service Line Sales Specialists (SLSs) provide deep expertise in a Service Line Practice Area to support the Client Leadership Team to close new and expansion opportunities on accounts. They are actively involved in growing the service line’s footprint and assisting the Client Partners to engage clients with service line opportunities. SLSs are trusted advisors with a good mix of strategic and tactical management experience.

In this role, the SLS will focus on Cognizant Digital Engineering Service Line. The SLS will balance client/project responsibilities with business development and sales responsibilities including identifying, qualifying and closing new business opportunities in Digital Engineering. The SLS should be a dynamic, results oriented, experienced Digital Engineering field sales executive keen to be part of a results-oriented culture accelerating digital change for our large, complex clients.

Role Responsibilities

Market Leadership

• Creates sales strategies and plan for the Client Partners’ review and for its incorporation into the broader client strategy and plan.
• Provides subject matter expertise to proposal development and overall solution.

Experience & Skills

• Experience in a senior-level consulting client-facing role or account manager leadership role
• Knowledgeable in Digital Engineering products and/or Customise Software/ Solutions in the market is a MUST
• Strong experience in direct interaction with customers in Singapore market related to Digital Engineering
• Ability to independently have conversation with point of view on Digital Engineering to CxO and Head of Digital and/or Data
• Should have done Digital Engineering solutions in the past with the ability to size up deals
• Should be knowledgeable in cross-industry use cases for Digital Engineering
• Strong knowledge of the relevant partner ecosystem and the ability to collaborate within the ecosystem
• Recent experience working for IT professional services or management consulting firm(s)
• Recent experience managing global service delivery model(s)
• Excellent problem solving, business communication (written & oral), and client management skills are essential
• Experience developing opportunity pipelines, qualifying high priority deals, and winning new business in line with agreed targets
• Experience closing sales with a specific emphasis on growing sales. Specifically, win new deals in customer account per pre-agreed targets.
• Proven leadership qualities such as conflict/issue resolution, strategic and critical thinking and ownership, particularly with highly diverse teams
