Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the clinic in a friendly and professional manner
• Assist patients with the check-in process, including verifying personal and insurance information
• Schedule appointments for patients, either in person or over the phone, ensuring efficient utilization of clinic resources
• Maintain and update patient records accurately and confidentially in our electronic medical records (EMR) system
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient clinic operations
• Answer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and provide information about clinic services
• Assist medical staff with minor administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and data entry
• Process billing and insurance claims, and assist patients with understanding their financial responsibilities

Requirements and skills

• Previous experience as a clinic assistant, medical receptionist, or in a similar role is preferred
