CNBC International is seeking a dynamic leader to spearhead our APAC news coverage and drive editorial decisions. This pivotal role will oversee the newsroom, in addition to leading the production of one of the dayside shows on the grid.  Reporting directly to the VP, News & Partnerships, this role offers a unique opportunity to provide strong leadership and drive the newsroom culture. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily editorial coverage, ensuring our coverage provides compelling and essential business and financial news
• Collaborate with Newsroom leadership in other regions
• Lead the linear editorial team and provide guidance and support to drive essential and compelling content
• Champion & model a respectful, accountable, and professional working culture in the newsroom
• Supervise & lead one of the shows in the APAC programming grid, managing the team and the content
• Motivate and organize the APAC Output TV Production teams, driving actionable content strands and segments that push CNBC’s output to the next level
• Collaborate with Assignments Editor & Head of News Desk to assign On-Air Talent and Producers for outside broadcasts and assignments and liaise closely with the Broadcast Operations department to execute coverage plans to world class standard
• Maintain and manage forward planning diaries (big interviews, events and OB coverage) and keep them constantly up to date, in conjunction with VP, News & Programming
• Contribute to CNBC APAC editorial relationships and access, maintaining world class access to leading business leaders and policy makers
• Actively engage in integrating the TV, News Desk, Digital and Digital Video & Social teams. Collaborate with the Editorial Leadership team to innovate and bring to life joint TV, Digital and Social collaborations, platforms and product offerings
• Lead the recruitment, training and retention of new Output and On-Air employees, including production, editorial and presentation training
• Ensure ‘best of’ content is shared across all CNBC regions and NBC channels and maximize distribution of key interviews
• Adhere to CNBC editorial standards and best practices

• Assist guests with check in and checkout, and other cashiering duties
• Efficient in assisting guests throughout their stay with any requirements, handling guest feedback, provide direction and give suggestions

• Maximizing room revenue by up-selling to a higher rate category and selling the highest possible rates for walk-in guests

Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Revenue is responsible for working with the Revenue Management team in determining strategic goals and tactical efforts, which drive revenue to the hotel. The Director of Revenue is responsible for ensuring that the inventory allocation and pricing parameters are positioned to support the overall revenue goals of the hotel. This role serves as the objective decision maker that ensures the best interest of profitability is served in the overall hotel as well as ensuring the integrity of rates and long-term customer investment.

How your day looks like:

• Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand the impact of relative pricing decisions on property performance. Performs competitor checks and reports as appropriate.
• Leads the fortnightly revenue meetings.
• Provides analysis of demand factors, competitive positioning and future outlook and trends.
• Prepares Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Revenue reports to include production, trends, booking patterns as well as channel analysis.
• Develops fundamentals and provides guidelines to maximize revenues related to the sale of catering events, function space and all other revenue streams at the Hotel.
• Ensures that the revenue plan is updated on a daily basis, balancing all figures with the PMS and ensuring that all data input into the system is accurate – Geo source, Product quality and pricing.
• Actively manages the Hotel’s revenue system 
• Monitors transient and group production to ensure that an optimal mix is maintained and evaluates group booking requests to ensure that the Hotel is not displacing higher yielding revenue.
• Analyzes the impact of the revenue management strategy being implemented by the Mondrian Singapore team and advises relevant changes as when needed.
• Ensures that the Hotels' position in the GDS and other distribution channels is consistent with the Hotels' Selling Strategies, includes conducting rate and availability audits, and that rate parity is maintained across all channels.
• Ensures that all rate plans are built in accordance with established Mondrian Singapore guidelines.
• Accurately forecasts Mondrian Singapore short term (weekly) and long term (30, 60 and 90 days) business outlook.

• Manage and communicate merchandise opportunities to Boutique Manager.

OVERVIEW

The Digital Producer is an experienced news journalist, passionate about devising and executing engaging content published across CNBC International’s digital outlets, including desktop and mobile services and social media accounts. Sitting within the Events and Programming organization, this person will produce strategic, revenue-generating editorial content, and will be accountable for quality assurance, spearheading creative story-telling and journalism across a range of news and lifestyle topics, working through all aspects of the production process and collaborating closely with newsroom teams, including TV show teams, technical operations, editors and graphic designers.

The Digital Producer role may include some on-camera reporting work and formal management of direct reports when there is a business need.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Devise distinct and original editorial concepts for digital franchises, series and story-telling that optimise for different digital platforms.
• Oversee all elements of the production process including guest booking, scouting and securing locations, obtaining necessary permits and rights clearance forms, story-boarding plans, directing shoots, writing and clearing scripts, complying with NBCU Standards and Practices and collaborating on the editing and publication process.
• Clearly communicate editorial vision and logistical updates in the editorial planning process and in other team meetings.
• Manage shoots on location, giving clear direction to guests, on-camera reporters and camera operators.
• Work closely with TV features colleagues on adapting television content to maximize views and engagement on Digital platforms, including cut-downs and edits, shooting additional content and adding elements like graphics and text to video.
• Write compelling scripts to pictures, editing video and producing promos to deadline.
• Liaise with social media producers to optimise opportunities for social media reach. Track performance metrics to inform content formats.

Theatrical Brand Marketing/Park/Symphony

• Support the Parks initiatives in APAC.
