A TYPICAL DAY

I start my day at 7.30am, I work with my team to set up our learning space for the day. At 8am, our classroom assistants join us and we take 10 minutes to look through the primary school daily announcements, talk through the day and reflect on the planned learning outcomes for the children. The learners start to enter our learning space at 8.05am and I may have a quick informal conversation with a parent.

I start my time with the learners sharing what our day looks like. I'm always looking for opportunities to make strong connections with every learner and build those important learning-focused relationships. Through the morning I spend time talking and finding out about our Unit of Inquiry with the learners and working with small focus groups for Maths and Language Arts. Today, the learners go to two specialist lessons, Visual Arts and HPE. As a team, we use this time for planning our next Unit of Inquiry.

At lunchtime I have a duty in the cafeteria and spend time talking to the learners about their morning before we move to the play spaces. We always start the afternoon with a focus on wellbeing, today we are focusing on using breathing to help us to calm our minds and bodies. This afternoon we have Inquiry Time, children are exploring their own lines of inquiry based on our current unit.

The teaching day finishes at 3.25pm and today I am running an after-school activity, Lego Robotics as this is a passion of mine! After I return the learners to the cafeteria to be picked up, I head back to my learning area to complete some marking and check my emails. I am looking forward to our forthcoming trip to the Science Centre where the learners will explore forces as part of their Unit of Inquiry.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Manager to lead and manage construction projects in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, from conception to completion, while ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage all aspects of the construction project, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control
• Lead and coordinate with all stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure that project requirements are met
• Develop and implement project plans, strategies, and timelines
• Manage the construction team, including subcontractors, to ensure they are working together effectively and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental laws
• Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
• Ensure construction activities adhere to Singapore's building codes and regulations
• Oversee and manage project budgets, timelines, and schedules
• Prepare and submit project progress reports to management
• Ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction

Requirements:

• At least 15 years of experience in project management in the construction industry.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large and complex construction projects.
• Knowledge of Singapore's building codes, regulations, and safety laws.
• Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and schedules effectively
• Experience in managing a construction team, including subcontractors.
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Overtime works might required.

Descriptions

· Updating of product information such as price list, cost price, material information etc into the system

· Preparation of seasonal catalogue

· Coordinate with China warehouse for upcoming shipment

· Arrange importation of container and coordinate with freight forwarder on local custom clearance

· Assist to prepare merchandising/café sales reports

· Ensure accuracy of stock levels on websites and backend system

· Assist in campaign shoots when necessary

· Coordinate with China warehouse to ensure all product samples arrived in timely manner

· Any ad-hoc admin/merchandising duties as assigned

Requirements

· Diploma in Business or Retail Management

· Meticulous and good with numbers

· Proficient in MS Officeespecially MS Excel

· Proficient in Chinese Language – both spoken and written (in order to liaise and communicate with our China counterparts)

· Independent and able to perform well in a dateline driven, rapid and fast-moving environment

· Ability to work under time pressure, motivated, good working attitude and willing to go the extra mile
