• Setup and monitor financial conditions and covenants of the lending transactions of some of UBS’ most sophisticated wealth management clients.

• Determine risk mitigation and remediation strategies for the loan portfolio.

Your team

You’ll be working in the GWM – Global Lending - Loan Portfolio Risk Management team in Singapore. The team assists in the provision of oversight of the credit risks in GWM APAC’s lending books. Our mission is to help UBS GWM lending business to grow by having a sustainable approach towards credit risks, both at portfolio and single transaction level. We achieve this by staying on top of GWM lending portfolio risks, promptly informing Client Advisors and Senior Management of any material changes and assisting in the workout of any problem credits as quickly and as efficiently as possible. As a key part of the 1st line of defense, the team’s responsibilities building first line of defense capabilities for GWM business. The team spans APAC and Switzerland.

Your expertise

• Experienced in Banking (at least 6 years). Experience within a Risk & Control or Monitoring function preferred.

The Job

• Provide PM/ BA support for global payments related project, focusing on identification & documentation of regional payments activities.
• Perform root cause analysis of payment related Operational Risk Events and how these will be resolved through identified solutions, identifying any gaps requiring further solutioning.
• Support Ops SME’s in determining key business requirements for identification of payments flows. Identifying and documenting key data elements within processing systems to enable rules based controls to be set for management of large and anomalous payments.
• Deliver business requirements, prepare testing plans and execute/oversee testing and development of associated project artifacts as required for deliverables.
• Day-to-day management of individual project responsibilities including milestone setting, task and actions management, co-ordination, and execution of plan within required timelines and to stakeholder quality expectations.
• Support and manage business ad-hoc queries and requirements.
• Foster and maintain relationships with business and technology stakeholders and support engagement in working groups, steercos, and workshops where required.
• Identify key project risks, whether stated or not, and manage to resolution or escalate accordingly.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy and can operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

The Talent

• 6-10 years’ experience as a Business Analyst/ Program manager within the Financial Services/Investment Banking industry.
• Knowledge of Markets Operations businesses/ functions is required. Knowledge & understanding of payments workflows and controls beneficial.
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, have great attention to detail and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative.
• Able to lead conference calls and produce meeting agendas, materials, and minutes.
